Caps are not hats.

Mind you, talking about stuff you borrow from the missus, I must say the dress you wore at lunchtime on Wednesday was quite captivating.

Ha Ha. That brings back memories Whispering. I worked with a bloke for 5 years, then he told me he was really a woman. His missus let him dress up in her clothes provided he didn't do it in front of the kids!

Believe it or not most came from my father and are only stored in the grey matter.

They are probably going to fade with me R and B.

You could preserve them for posterity OD!

Are they all that important Akum?

I doubt it .

OD, can I borrow your book of similes? You seem to have an endless supply of them ..

I realize people will call me a pretentious snot or pedant (truish) R&B, but that is a metaphor.

As they say ... to err is human, but to really stuff things up you need a computer.

Hope it works better than your "win " dance for the Dees over the last two years.

Good morning "pretentious snot or pedant (truish)" Given the way you jumped on that like Chunk on a loose ball, one would have to presume you are a professional ... (eg English teacher) Certainly seems more to you than alpaca wrangling ...

They will live forever on this thread, OD ... There are worse ideas than a website entitled "The Wisdom of Old Dee"

SAVE SHANNON BYRNES FAN CLUB

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction

The very mention of that name makes me feel ill.

Come off it - what do you say when someone has a similar refrain about Jake Spencer?

Come off it - what do you say when someone has a similar refrain about Jake Spencer?

One has a future the other does not.

Also I don't think I have jumped into support for Spencer every time someone makes a negative remark.

I like the kid and consider him the best Ruckman we have at present.

However I don't ever remember saying he is god's gift to the ruck game.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
