I Though we banned Bananas here?

TBF you are walking very close to the edgy with the above.

You need to seriously consider your future utterings in relation to the golden fruit.

People do disappear you know!

oh you heard about my sense of direction then?

Now some narrow minds (aka Moonshadow) will consider this distasteful DC but I'm sure you will accept this advice in the spirit in which it is given. I can't actually speak for Betadine but certain , shall we say stains of a personal nature, can never be fully removed from undergarments. My best advice is to put them in a charity bin and replace with items stolen from a poorly guarded clothesline.

I resemble that comment Bitter.

Dam I was wondering who was taking my cloths from the line.

Next week I will get my Rotti to guard the line.

How can any true demon supporter sit down and eat Bananas while our team gets smashed each week?

Lets STOP this madness say NO to BANANAS until the MFC is back in the top eight. Better still unit it wins its 13th Flag.

Settle down.

Just having a little fun in the Banana Frendly thread.

After all Bananas are not as soft as a MFC player so they can take a little criticism.

LOL

There's is still a small window for contrition

A wise frog would take it.

I just had a terrible thought.

What if they analysed bananas in a lab and found they contained AOD-9604?

Would we be banned from ever playing AFL or would we find safe haven at Windy Hill?

I am up to be banned WJ.

Because I can then deluded myself that the AFL is out to get me.

I just had a terrible thought.

No - you would claim that the bananas were bought in Mexico by a muscular dystrophy sufferer, and he gave them to you for a snack once he didn't want them anymore. Anyway, you signed a waiver saying that Con the Fruiterer told you it was all ok, but the records stating the date you ate the bananas, how many there were and what condition they were in were eaten by passing dog, so there is no proof that you actually ate any bananas at all, even if they were found in your possession, and despite the fact that you have been having injections of fruit-based substances which were only ever vitamins, despite being secretly injected over the road from your doctor in a secure room with no cameras ...

What's that song? Ah ... "Yes, we have no bananas ... " :)

bananas are safe ...bananas are safe....bananas are safe !!

they are safe arent they ? lol :o

No it is only B1 and B2 out to get you as you keep eating their family and friends.

Correct and it is worth the risk

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?

  • POSTGAME: St. Kilda

After kicking the first goal of the match the Demons were always playing catch up against the Saints in Alice Spring and could never make the most of their inside 50 entries to wrestle back the lead.
