Jesus Ernie, you've named some classics in that lot. Back in the day, I tried them all for nefarious purposes but Stones ...... FMD ... we used to have a swig at 3/4 time on really cold days.

Can't say that it improved my footy though!

Hey Pickety-poo! It’s me! You said you’d call me the next day but never did. I guess you must’ve lost my number. Clearly, writing it on your forehead with a sharpie wasn’t enough. So I had to resort to joining this site and pretending to be a crazy Demons fan. At least, the Demons fan bit is pretending. I’ve had my wedding dress picked out since that magical night when we got rather ‘conversational’ and every time I hear ‘Fox on the Run’ I think of you, and not just because it’s a Sweet song.

Remember this… it’s NOT stalking unless and until I’m served with a restraining order.

P.S. I love what you’ve done with the front of your house.

I am bemused. What is the rationale and meaning of your posting name?

They’re lyrics from a song by a band that I very much like. These lyrics, and the band’s name - Mercury Rev - conjure up thoughts of heavy metal or a similar genre. On the contrary, this band’s music is so sweet and lilting it could put a baby to sleep.

Another reason I chose this username is that I have a problem with indecision, and I figure that not being able to make up one’s mind is akin to staging a war with oneself.
I bet you’re sorry you asked. 🙃

Hey OD, is this the same granddaughter with whom you play Monopoly nowadays? Seems she’s been the apple of your eye since day dot. 💖

When is she going to play for the Dees?

If she’s as talented a footballer as she is a Monopoly player, she’ll go far with the Dees. IIRC, she’s taken her grandad to the cleaners on more than one occasion. 😁

Never, I hate to say it but she is a cats supporter. Also not interested in playing football. I am now working on the four year old.

On the subject of the Olympics, Lydia Lassila, who was until last night our most recent Winter Olympics Gold medallist, said she was thrilled to see the drought broken. A 12-year drought. It’s like, Lydia…

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
