 Hmmmm......

Rance retires and there is almost no social media tributes from teammates. Wonder why?

I've heard that Jack Higgins might be able to spill the beans!

Indeed, dc.

As a wise friend once told me: when your pecker stands up, your brain sits down.

Ran 4th, great run, too far back, but flew the last 100 metres.

Winner and a 2nd last night at Cranbourne.

Good thing I missed then but may be a prelude for a longer distance win.

Congrats on Cranbourne.

Don’t need a longer distance, just a better ride. Can’t win from 2nd last on the turn, when you were travelling well about 4th with 1000 to go and then let him drop back to nearly last.

Sounds like the MFC 2019 game plan.

Happy New Year everyone and especially a healthy and safe one, together with a great year by the Dees.

I note plenty of room for the wine casks in the rear.

I think that "Fruity Lexia" in the cask is wonderful, and at a good price,  plenty of room indeed to take it up to Thredbo, but where are the ski racks.  Correct sort of car though !

Go Dees !!   bring on 2020 competition,

Bah those plates look like Coles Cafeteria issue.

Nothing like my limited edition Wedgewood.

but you keep the wedgewood permanently locked up, uncle (ever since it was given as a wedding present, along with the lead crystal decanter and matching ashtray)

I also thought the wine was lacking, obviously mistaken identity.

I think Alex Rance may be unretired at the end of 2020.

Still on the Tiger's list, so they can trade him.

They must have commissioned a special trough for you.

Very unfunny Biffen ………………………………. and the rest of you cheap mockers. All of you seem burdened by poor taste.

I must add that while I obviously do not have a trough, I did commission a very elegant chamber pot. It has a delightful (and  quite practical) gilt edge.

The downside is that the maid demands extra remuneration to evacuate it.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
