FMD. I got thrown out of the Burvale by Leo Young who was head bouncer at the time. Had him covered for weight but he was too quick. A couple on the chin before I could blink and I decided to call it a night.

Ah yes BBO I had forgotten about our Leo with the long blonde hair and broken nose, the bouncer of bouncers. Even though he had taken one too many punches to the head in TV Ringside he was still the local intellectual in Borewood in those days. Never took him on but I can remember one night we could have used his help in the car park when some drunken thugs turned nasty. Dangerous place Borewood!

Anyway, once again, I need technological help. I want to slag the new Indian restaurant in Romsey - "Rudhar's". The fools couldn't find the manor so my dinner was over an hour late. Could some of you facebookers please slap them for me?

Don't be a smart arse (for once) dc. I rang the effers up and abused them for their tardiness, whereupon they offered me a future free meal. I told them stick to that up their arse and that I would never do business with then again.

I also promised them bad publicity - hence the face book issue. I am a vindictive person.

Rudhars Indian Restaurant in Romsey = a croc of sh ite.

DC what are the boundaries of Borewood? The Burvale to the east, the Mathew Flinders to the west? In the middle is your dry, God fearing Methodists or Salvation Army types holding back the tide.

Stick that up their rrrse? After your abuse, that's probably what they did with your food before they finally delivered it.

dear oh dear earl......matthew flinders to the west? more like due south, straight down warrigal road. nearest pub to the west would be in hawthorn

DC that is why I asked the question. What are the boundaries? It seems now that it is the Burvale to the east, the Matthew Flinders to the south, the Tower to the west? what is to the north then, The Doncaster? Gee how big is Borewood?

no, not burwood, you are defining dry-wood. and yes if you go due north probably the doncaster

as for west, the Riversdale might be closer than the Tower

The Google map that pops up from Wikipedia suggests something a lot smaller --- basically Warrigal Road to the west, Riversdale Road to the north, Stephensons Road to the east and Highbury Road (sort of) to the south. However, given the rather weird and wobbly lines, especially the southern one, I could believe that the surveyor responsible found these boundaries via a pub crawl ...

More bizarrely, the same source defines Burwood East in a similarly nonlinear fashion, with the result that the Burvale appears to be not in Burwood East, but in Vermont South.

Add that to the list of stuff you know but wish you had never found out ... :) :)

DC I think the above discussion was worthwhile for people like me to get a good idea of the vastness of Borewood, I still have a query about where Jordanville fits in though. However I now have a better appreciation of the environment that influenced your sometimes warped perspective of the world.

I think it would be worthwhile to now get a feel for BBO's environment and what makes him tick. What are the key characteristics of the environment of Lancefield South where he lives?

As i have said.

Scrape the lot from Glen Iris out and move the scum to Moe or Casey.

Put back orchards or grapes.

Who cares anyway.

True, unfortunately for me. If we have to discuss former liberal state premiers, then Bolte or Hamer for mine. But the price of bananas will always win out ...

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
