Members Stickers

Hi all,

Not sure if mentioned previously or others received the same but last night I received the lanyard and members stickers etc as part of my membership.

The stickers are simply awful. The printing looks as though a 3yr old has attempted to match color within lines as they bleed all over the place and the actual message, looks terrible due to this fault.

23rd consecutive year of membership and I've never had an issue, I hate to gripe, but I really do enjoy getting that little package each year and am disappointed that I can't display my demon pride this year.

yeah not as good as previous years...but I still put them on regardless. It's nice to see more and more Dees bumper stickers on cars as I drive around town :-)

Mine look ok. However I do think they seem to have taken a slide in quality over the last couple years. On my car, they seem to fade pretty quickly. They used to last until the next year and still looked good. Not a big deal, just interested to know if they have a new supplier.

yeah agree about this years stickers.

I was also disappointed to see that they dotn have the usual "back of Gurnsey" sticker. Have a nice row of them on my bar fridge, but alas no 11 :(

the whole membership pack in general was ratehr tacky IMO. I'd prefer a key ring o light up horns and the fabric used for the scarf isnt as good as usual either.

I got the membership cap too - i have no problems with the quality of this one!

Thanks for feedback all.

Agree with The Great One - last year mine faded badly also.

I've flicked an email to the club as I do want them on my car.

Go Dees!

Perhaps the next time we are playing in China we can drop in to the factory and mention it to them.

Are they relaxing the laws over there? The last 20 years were ok.

My only complaint is the postage stamp sized sticker of our great new logo. Looks a bit feeble on the car i'm afraid !

I bought a 5.1 surround sound system made in China that sounds great, for $39.99 yesterday.

That may go a long way to answering your Question!!

They seem to small, was hopping they would have had a sticker with the new emblem that was big as the old jumper size stickers.

Saw a car with an old 07 jumper sticker today and sorry to say but it looked much better then this years stickers.

The Herald Sun are doing a sticker for every team this year too. I'll be getting the Demon one when it comes out (not sure when that is)

I think they are coming alphabetically

Agree the stickers are too small. Fingers crossed wont fade like last few years. MFC has had to replace all stickers several times in last 4 or 5 years.

From memory the Melbourne sticker in the HUN will be this Sunday, 27th in time for the game!

Let us know what the response is to the email - I totally agree, very disappointed with this year's batch. Particularly the small square one with the new logo; was looking forward to having it proudly displayed on my car but it looks terrible, won't be putting that one on.

Hey GG, this was the response: The club are usually pretty good with these responses. I'd suppose they factor in costs of re-prints and mail outs.

I'd send one to them because if your like me, it is disappointing not to be able to show your pride.

Dear Michael,

Thank you for your email. We apologise that your stickers and lanyard was not printed correctly. We have not heard of stickers running yet but I am happy to send you out some new ones that are printed correctly.

Kind regards,

Jane Lonsdale | Membership Officer

Yep agree with most the stickers are not getting any better or at the very least the same size quality etc it is a shame as I look forward to changing them over every year! Having said that I think we are stuck with them this year and I am still displaying them proudly! Good idea for everyone not satisfied to send an email and I would expect if enough did so we would see an improvement next year!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
