Eth - Is Savage now off the table & Hodge back on?

Your confusing me massivley.

I wanted to trade one of them, and I originally thought it would be Savage who should go because he was the fourth or fifth best mid.

He's probably my best player now, so I'm tossing up other options as to who could be traded.

Just lost Rioli to hammy for who knows how many weeks. On top of losing Roughead.

Injuries just kill you in this game! You're a chance this weekend Eth.

Consider yourself lucky, mate.

Two players down and Savage on the bench and you only beat me 5-4.

Hopefully a strong run home.

Well played HT - Your side was all over me through all 8 Games this round

Just about ready to concede season 2011 all over for my rabble of a side

This week I am having a player FIRESALE - Entire side on the Table

They may not have geled collectively as a side however some handy individuals who would be very

useful additions to the correct line up.

Dont be shy all reasonable offers will be looked at this week.

More strategy than luck involved Eth me boy!

Yeah, you've picked a good side, but still, that was like Melbourne and Collingwood of Round 2 last year :)

You probably already know this, but if you don't JCB, this is how you do it. If you want to propose a trade, you can use the "Propose trade" option, then click on the coach you want to propose to, then select their player(s), 'continue', then select your player(s) then 'continue', then submit the trade.

Like I said you may have already done this, but I thought I would explain it, just in case you didn't know.

PS. I noticed you hadn't done any trading, thought I would help you out just in case it wasn't explained to you.

Thanks HT--I didn't know how that worked.. now I do..thanks sincerely for pointing that out.Very much appreciated.

I wish I still didn't know how it worked - I would probably have a stronger squad now.

You have gone a little crazy since I walloped you.But it doesn't matter much.RR will romp in..got the smarts.. the list he has created and the way he has coached, although I had a WIN over him(a little lucky though). The other whom is coming hard with momentum is last year's winner and overseer--J.A.(Jack Attack).

Jayceebee... Sandi couldn't just get me 1 or 2 more hitouts? That is a TOOOUGH loss for me. And now he's gone for the year, I think... Ouch. Well played though, deserve a place in the top 4.

Dappadan on a HUGE slide... My finals aspirations in tatters. Big Dappadan shaped hole in the 8 waiting for OMR, HT, rpfc...

Hang in there, luck will open up--but suggest you have a look at either trading or pick up a ruckman- if there is one..Clarke from Freo maybe worth a look? And maybe get rid of Everrit

Scott Pendlebury - Ranked No.2

For Sale - Will take a massive offer to make this happen

I will need a quality replacement Mid & Power Forward

Your crackers..hold onto your best-changing for the sake is stupid..Have a look at Range Rover - he is planning for the finals now..gaining all the advantages he can right now..SMaRT Move..

If you hold your nerve you will make the 8..When the Russian finds fitness- hope it is next week, Ryder hits form and Davey is back.. then you have a top 4 list..

Hard to argue against solid advice like this JCB

Just not sure with 6 rounds left "Holding My Nerve" will get the job done.

Will sleep on my final strategy & think this through before one final assualt on this comp.

Thanks for the advice.

Shuffling deck chairs. The only rucks worth taking at this stage aren't available. All my eggs were in the Sandi basket... Gonna be tough to eke out a finals win now.

Demon_Land7 was bottom of the ladder 6 rounds ago. Beats snomeD who was sitting 2nd 9-0 and cracks into the 8. Talk about coming home with a wet sail. Look out RR

I'm right behind you in your slipstream.

As a general comment about trading. I'm finding only a small number of you are willing to trade to create a win/win situation. These people are also higher on the ladder. It's hard trading with some of you who have a hint of greed in your trading strategies. It is easy to see why these people are down the lower end of the ladder. (Queue me losing every game from here on)

Well if this aint the pot calling the kettle black.

At this time of year it's nearly impossible to get a trade going. I would offer to take Goldstein off your hands, but I wouldn't go for something that ridiculous since you're obviously not mentally impaired in any way. However when you offer me McKintosh who hasn't played a game this year, who will have to play second fiddle to a guy who will likely be on the AA bench this year IF he plays... for Deledio, one of only a few backs who are ranked in the top 100... and you don't call yourself greedy?!!! There's nothing "win/win" about that...

There's a reason you don't trade when you're up the business end of the ladder. If I were RR (and I was in the first 10 rounds) I'd be sitting back and chuckling. Why change your list when you're smashing everyone!!!

Glad to read the heat is really on us.Dappa has taken my advise-good on him..RR is the one to catch and the one to beat.. however he is vulnerable right now..He is changing his side around nearly every week.So he can be caught by a few of us.The eight is going to be very tight and any one of us can win on our day..HT looks another who has the team.

Good luck to all including my opponents. Scarlet will be hard to beat this week also.

As you are near the top of the ladder I clearly wasn't referring to you Dappa.

And if you look at my trade history, I have been very respectful of win/win situations.

I did not offer only McIntosh, who I believe you will need going forward, but also Bernie Vince who has shown he is more than capable of 30 possession games and kick goals. I threw Deledio out there to see where you stood and you replied with a no. Which is fair enough.

I am more talking about others who seem to take off about 50 ranking points for their own players and add 50 onto yours when trying to get a trade done.

Put up a worthy trade to me.. stress the word..WORTHY..has to be worthwhile to both - for a Win/Win..that is the major issue that I have noticed during my time here. You also made a very bad blnder getting rid of Ablett.

Yeh I know. Watsons injury on the weekend simply rubs salt into the wound. However I needed goals and lost this category way to often. Walker was doing OK but only kicking goals against weak sides. Hopefully Franklin can do his job for me and the rest of my midfield can hold steady until Watson returns.

Thanks for the wrap JCB. Things are going well but have been hit by a few injuries of late and will have three forced changes this week with West Coast's bye. If there were odds, the in-form JackAttack would be worth a flutter against me this week in what shapes at the match of the round.

Does anyone know, are there finals or is the winning order established after the final round of home and away?

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los
