3 things i fell out of love with this season...

1. Channel 7's appalling coverage of the footy. Ten is only slightly better, but 7's is just ridiculous. Honestly, why would you finish your coverage without an interview or seeing the team singing the song when the entire thing is about 3 hours delayed anyway. Infuriating.

2. Sunday games. In principal I don't mind these so much as they're normally quieter days. But we have a solid crew going to the footy these days so inevitably I consume way too much beer and end up struggling out of bed for work on Monday. Fair enough this is all entirely my fault but none the less...

3. Players going backwards - Cale Morton, Matty Bate, I'm looking at you. Aren't players supposed to develop as they get older and more experienced, not regress?

Indeed. Especially with kids in tow and school the next day.

My boys are 2 and 1 HT. Only have the 2 year old, occasionally the 1 year old with mum, come to Casey games at the moment to get them involved.

My 2 year old calls every football team the Demons at the moment, which might be nice on GF day as I can use his mind altering tricks to convince myself I am watching Melbourne.

Can't wait to take the 2 year old to the 'G next year if he is up for it, well he wont have much choice but to be up for it, but not looking forward to them falling in love with donut vans before the Dees!!

1. People who slam Cale Morton, for his year. Remember Adam Goodes the year he did his PCL... he was only servicable. Had a full pre-season the next year and came back a superstar. Give Cale a full pre-season and he'll become elite.

2. Players being allowed to throw or drop the ball provided it was an attempted disposal..... the holding the ball rule is a joke.

3. Our first quarters

1. Foul-mouthed supporters - Didn't your mother ever tell you if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all? You are spoiling it for the rest of us (Yes - YOU)!!!

2. Getting on the Melbourne bandwagon only when we're playing well - We expect our beloved players to be loyal servants that espouse the ideals on which this great club was built and the same should go for supporters! Fair-weather fans go elsewhere...

3. The off-season - 5 days in and I'm not sure how I'm going to make it through the long, hard work week without the footy to look forward to on the weekend! I know our boys need some hard-earned rest (especially with all the niggling injuries) but bring on 2011 already!!! :)

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
