I think this phrase should be nipped in the bud and banned now.

Any takers?

Ban it forever IMO, but really its an open footy forum if people wanna use it who am i too say don't!

Doesn't really bother me.......but won't be using the term myself! Skull and JT is enough for me!

Trengully is a much better player

The way I see it its already redundant...it's now Gyscullgove...you beauty(s)

;)....that's a mouthful! Hopefully a handful for years to come!

Gysullove is a good one.

Because I'll Gysullove a myself when I see all 3 playing together.

+1 gazillion

McGysbleasculgrimwattsgovescottaeamirri ... rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?

I really Hate that term. Both of them deserve the proper names.

Scullgove is the sort of name Footscray supporters use as Knife point Shopping Centre!!!

Personally, I think Trenscull is a winner. Reminds me of He-Man.

And almost as hard to spell as Wonaeamirri

Trengully is a significantly better name, too. That's my preferred name for the duo. But seriously, how hard is it to write "Scully and Trengove"?

2 gun players with a WHOLE lot to offer the club, lumping them together because of a draft is stupid. And none of the combined name abbreviations are any good. They are who they are, individually, pay them that respect.

this...

this type of naming is hollywood rubbish aka TomKat or Brangelina, not what you hear around a footy club...

Correct.

Tom Scully & Jack Trengove are very cool names anyway. Why make them sound Cheap & Tacky.

Just being a bit facetious with the 'ban it'call but seriously it does give me the sh.1.t's !

Me too!

Huuuuuuuuuuuuge win, i lol'd. Well played Sir.

Better still, Ab Jud Scul Tren gys - music to my ears.

McGyscullgove = our future midfield

McKenzie Gysbert Scully Trengove

Once they get to the point that their careers take different directions... the terms will fade away.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
