We are suppose to win 8 - 10 games this year. I would be happy with 9 wins. We are not going to make top 4. Calling for players to be dropped, WTF. Tonights loss was a poor TEAM effort, and West Coast read us well by blocking the corridor. We were out played pure and simple. It wasn't the umpires, or coaches, and it certainly wasn't any individuals performance.

People want too much from our list. Let them build as a team. 8 - 10 wins this year. Next year, Finals maybe, MAYBE. And after that, IT'S TIME!!!

The skills were obvious tonight. Poor kicking, poor marking (to many dropped), POOR RUNNING and no contesting marks. So what if we thrashed the lions. Lets get back to reality. 8 to 10 wins, and we are on the way.

Be happy and keep supporting. It's all about game experience with our young group.

... We are not going to make top 4

LOL what kind of fool would think that was possible???

Not directed at you "d me"

Inconsistant football will probably get 7-9 games, seeing as though MFC come close to or win the games not expected of them (Pies, WB, Lions), and lose to games when they are favourites (NM & WCE). Who knows what may happen this year.

Are we? According to whom? 10 games will almost put teams in the 8 this year.

According to me and every single stats reporter known to man. It's over a 1/3 of the season, and WE ARE ON THE WAY to winning 8 to 10 games. Could you please give me any insight as to a team making the finals with 10 wins the last decade?

Dont get me wrong, would love to see MFC playing a final this year.

Essendon 10.5 wins 2009, so technically 10 wins :)

Can understand your point, except for one thing.

We have a heap of young players who need to be given plenty of game time during the season & who have been doing well at Casey - Morton, Cheney, Gysberts, Jetta, Wonna, McNamara etc etc.

It's much harder to turn players over while we're winning. If losses like this have a bright side, it's an opportunity to give these young players a chance and drop any of the older ones who are underperforming.

I agree with you Akum. I meant dropping players for thier performance tonight. But as you said, Rotate the players and give em a game. We are not going to win a flag this year, so give em game time.

Agreed we were outplayed......agreed it wasn't the sole problem of the coaches or individual players, but poor team play.

Don't agree people want too much from this list. What we want is what we have seen them deliver already this year....ferocious tackling, quick ball movement, and some genuine sense of urgency and passion.

The hallmarks of what made us competitive at the start of the season...........and that is quite simply a mindset / attitude issue.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Carlton

The Demons were blown out of the water in the first quarter and clawed their way back into the contest but it was a case of too little too late as they lost another close one to Carlton losing by 1 point at the MCG.
