When I was born my father, a mad Collingwood supporter, brought me up in black and white. In 1985 when I started to really understand the game, I found my passion with a Red and Blue vision. Yeats, Healy, Flower and Grinter. 85 was the year that opened my eyes, I think we finished last. It was the passion of the club in the school yard in 1987, when we flogged NTH in the finals after a bad start to the season that I earnt my colours! After many years of sorrow, bring on 2000, like the saints today I think we were never gunna win. I sit here now, my father and my best mate both at the game today. It's funny how one goal can make a difference. Lets say Petterd took that mark in RD 2 in that 1 pt loss to Collingwood, or the umpires had not of worn pink in that 4 pt loss to the Dogs. Then there's the draw to the Pies RD 12. And if Watts or Dunn kicked straight against Freo in those dying minutes. All of a sudden we are 9 wins and in the top eight (beating top 4 teams). I take back my earlier statement that we have not improved this year. Cant wait for next year. We have to have a solid injury free pre-season and it's game on! For the rest of the 2010 season. Please give us better starts to gain at least 3 wins! Go Dees 2011.

Lesson's, how many lesson's do we need? It's the same old. I agree I didn't expect Melb to win, but come on. We have had enough lessons in the last two and a half seasons. We were top on tackles after RD 3. There has been NO improvement over the season AS A TEAM. Better 2nd half is on the way. Bring it back to 2 - 3 goals. Well done again Sculls!

According to me and every single stats reporter known to man. It's over a 1/3 of the season, and WE ARE ON THE WAY to winning 8 to 10 games. Could you please give me any insight as to a team making the finals with 10 wins the last decade? Dont get me wrong, would love to see MFC playing a final this year.

We are suppose to win 8 - 10 games this year. I would be happy with 9 wins. We are not going to make top 4. Calling for players to be dropped, WTF. Tonights loss was a poor TEAM effort, and West Coast read us well by blocking the corridor. We were out played pure and simple. It wasn't the umpires, or coaches, and it certainly wasn't any individuals performance. People want too much from our list. Let them build as a team. 8 - 10 wins this year. Next year, Finals maybe, MAYBE. And after that, IT'S TIME!!! The skills were obvious tonight. Poor kicking, poor marking (to many dropped), POOR RUNNING and no contesting marks. So what if we thrashed the lions. Lets get back to reality. 8 to 10 wins, and we are on the way. Be happy and keep supporting. It's all about game experience with our young group.

Just witnessed on the CH 9 Footy Show. AFL want to play the Anzac game between the Pies V Dons in Turkey in 2015. WTF? How would the players turn around and play the next week? The AFL want to extend the season due to the new teams coming in. I have flown to Europe for a holiday, and to fly to Turkey for a weekend is insane. To fly back and prepare for the next weekend, wow! Then to top it off, Sam has come out and said the players on the ground should be reduced to 16. My thoughts, lets rebuild the stadiums so the ground is rectangle. The AFL can compete against the ever growing sport, SOCCER. Lets get NASA to carve out a ground on the moon. All 44 players can play in space suits, so with no gravity to Sam Newmans pleasure, the ball will be kicked longer! I cant believe I'm saying this, but bring back THE BOUNCE.

With North, I dont think it was the opposition, we just cant play well at Etihad Stadium at the moment. I hate this ground, but we must learn to play well, away from the G. Will be interesting when we travel to skilled stadium and AAMI. It's all experience with the D's ATM.

Does anyone have a recording of the RD 7 (CH 7) game including the field of woman replay (I think this was on at half time on tv?) on thier HD DVD Recorder / Burner. My mother, who is battling breast cancer ATM, was caught on a CH 7 camera. She's the one in the Melbourne Beanie smiling away next to her husband. Would be willing to pay if someone could make me a copy. I will be at the game on Saturday. Cheers.

I wouldn't worry about this. IMO we are looking like the next Geelong. Look how many stars they manage! And if star players start leaving clubs due to money as appossed to passion for the jumper, I will stop following AFL. It's about management, and I think MFC will be fine. DIE Broke Mcleans!
