Cale Morton speaks on changes of the club and how being clear favorites will be a challenge. Interesting to note it says that he will make his return to the VFL in two weeks which is promising news

Why should it matter? Clubs consistently say that they don't take any notice of media speculation, so why would our players care what our odds are, or whether the majority of tipsters will be backing us?

But it does matter because the players are human, and it is harder to get your self up for a percieved easier task than a harder one.

In some ways the team has to plan twice as hard for this week. I am glad Cale has spoken, if the players challenge themselves and not just the coaching staff, we have a better chance of success.

I want Scully & Trengove to really show their stuff today!! Make the Tiges choke when they see what they "gave" us last year with that goal. They could have had Trengove had Jordan McMahon kicked like he did for the whole game. If he had missed we prob wouldnt have Jack now.. ouch!!

We have to be 100% on our game and not let up. Treat it like we did the Pies game. We didnt give them an inch and they are far advanced on the Tiges. No mercy!!!!!!!!!!!

There is another article in the Hearld Sun which I can't find online "Ozzie's style points" stating that Aussie will return through the VFL next week and LJ returned to light training this week. Aussie and LJ were intent on forming a lethal forward-line partnership in the second half of the season and we are hopeful of a mid-season return for Luke Tapscott.
