Just was wondering if anyone had taken any notice of who other teams with early picks were rating and going after. It'd be interesting to see the other clubs opinions.

BF has plenty of well informed people regarding draftees. Especially at this time of year, some of them really know potential draftees.

Certainly more knowledgeable than most of the posters here in that regard.

Carlton seemingly have their fingers in lots of pies.

*Said to be leading the race for Matthew Spangher from WCE

*Put forth a supperior monetary offer to Josh Gibson, than that of Hawthorn

*Actively chased Boak and Salopek from Port Adelaide

*Have inquired about a trade involving Brad Fisher for McGuire from St Kilda

*Have inquired about Ben McKinley from West Coast

*Have expressed intrest in obtaining Andrejs Everitt from the Bulldogs

*Have expressed interest in trading for Brock McLean.

.... must be nice to have money

*Allegedly going to submit an application to get Tom Scully under some BS Father/Son Rule... (Fags)

OK,proper answer:

I would think that we'll see this develop a bit more in the coming 2-3 weeks. Once the GF is out of the way, newspapers will need something to talk about. As soon as the draft camp starts (30th September-October 1) we'll be flooded with heaps of information about who's looking at what, phantom drafts, there will surely be more interest, if you can wait about a week or 2...

Sounds about right Toot. Whats this father/son rule you're talking about?

I might get around to BF one day...but so far when i've looked at it I've had to sort out the rubbish, so haven't been bothered properly yet.

Some clown called up SEN - and stated that because Scully doesn't know who his father is .. Carlton we're going to get him DNA tested to see if one of their former 100 game players did the deed, and hence take him as a F/S.

Absolute nonsense, cannot beleive it's spread like gospel.

Hah, yeah, it is an ABSOLUTE joke. I continue to laugh at the poor excuses that come up.

I even had one of my bosses at work approach me, who is a Carlton member, and said they're going to do it. The only reason I didn't laugh in his face and call him a (rude)*head was because he's my boss...

Although, from what Jack Elliot says if any club was going to qualify for a bulk discount on DNA tests it would be Carlton!

If Carlton are willing to trade Brad Fisher, why don't we try and get him in the Brock Mclean Deal. Mclean and third round pick for for 11 and Fisher.

I think he would be a good fit into our forward line. Just have Wona crumb around his feet and he would be set.

Fisher is definatley on the out - he was promised games that he never received.

Fisher is on the table for the Saints.

Carlton are looking to trade him for McGuire.

From Twitter: "@emmasq RT @theagesport No players will be recruited under the AFL’s father-son rule this year. No players were registered by today's deadline."

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round.
