Surely Jones is more worthy of a Round One spot than an unproven Blease.

Fair enough. But considering I've got McLean as an emergency, and Jones unlisted, I'll give McLean the nod first.

B. Grimes Warnock Frawley

C. Green Bruce Buckley

HF. Bate Miller Dunn

F. Petterd Jurrah Wonaemirri

IC. Jones Maloney P.Johnson Cheney

We won't draft Panos, Daw would be a long-term prospect, Blease will be under-done and Trengrove isn't a forward.

Trengove.....is a midfielder who can play up forward or even half-back. Same with Morabito he can also go forward.

Then by all means please, tell me out of that 22 who would you have them in place of?

By all means, your saying they should earn it.... who should be there in their place?

I dont care who they replace. If they are good enough... they play. Enough of the pretence

May as well put in my 10 cents worth....

I fear Garland won't be ready for senior football by round 1 next year. I hope I'm wrong!

Strauss, Blease and our #2, #18 picks will start in the VFL.

Scully can play off the bench.

Garland may also begin the year in the VFL.

Moloney in the ruck and Jamar rover. Surely we would of stopped tanking by then.

LOL...oops, you know what i meant

Bruce might be on the out next year if his disposal does not improve

Bruce might be on the out next year if his disposal does not improve

i would prefer to think that bruce will be in our best next year when his disposal improves

Bruce might be on the out next year if his disposal does not improve

I'm sorry, is this 2003?

Bruce has always delivered helicopters, and he is constantly one of our best players. Top 3 in the Bluey I would say.

He will not be 'on the out.'

@most peoples

i dont think theres room for garland, frawley, warnock and rivers in our backline, way too top heavy,

also jimmy should definately start in the best 22 had a better season than jones/mclean imo.

Yes, I thought the same. He has the height. Maybe Morton to CHF, Jurrah to FF and Watts to HF then.

i see him more as a goodes type player, anyway hopefully watts will be filling this position.

Not interested - Bell Bartram McDonald

****ADD 1ST PICK IN PRE-SEASON DRAFT

It is about time we snagged a gun uncontracted player. Preferrably a key tall forward.

Not interested - Bell Bartram McDonald

Well he's been re-signed for another year, and he's continuing as captain. So he'll be playing when fit.

Who? And at what cost?

****ADD 1ST PICK IN PRE-SEASON DRAFT

It is about time we snagged a gun uncontracted player. Preferrably a key tall forward.

Craig Hutchison said on footy show that the Bulldogs board have come out and said that Brian Lake will not be traded, and therefore if he doesn't sign, he will be forced into PSD...... I'm assuming he will re-sign with the Dogs, but IF he does declare for the PSD, then A) Would the Dees take him given we have Garland, Frawley, Rivers and Warnock already? MORE IMPORTANTLY B) Would we be able to trade our #1 PSD pick to other teams ie (Hawthorn) that are desperate for a Key defender of the quality of Brian Lake and what would we be able to command in return... pick #9 in national draft perhaps?

brian lake will almost definitely be AA this year, ofc we would take him in an instant, even geelong with perhaps the only better FB in the game would take him. lake is worth more than pick 9 in national draft... a lot more.

Giving Bartram a start over Moloney is a bit rich. Moloney's coming off a great year, will do well in the B&F. Bartram, on the other hand, is no certainty to even be on our list next year.

Far comment regarding Bartram- I think Bartram has good upside- do not forget the year before he came off a knee injury. However, accept your point re Maloney, but as my interchange shows- many could take Bartram's place.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
