Weird. Am I on the right site?

he is one bloke that gold coast will look at! after todays effort must hold onto him!

well done colin!

great game by col ran hard all day

Best player at the club at the moment.

Aaron Davey called to say hi... and he was at Brad Green's house at the time. Having a beer with Beamer.

Wrong. Jack Watts is the best player at the club. You don't hype up a player like that, before he debuts, without claiming him to be the best at the club.

/sarcasm.

congrats to col, really deserves the praise, he has shown a lot in recent works with his efforts, and hope he can maintain this quality of performance or better in the future.

Terrific game from him, and the sort of display we have all be waiting for.

The key is for him to just keep going and find that consistency.

I sincerely hope that he has finally turned the corner, because we sure can use his talent!

He certainly has a lot of talent. Surest hands ever, and is becoming one of those players who, when in possession, i am confident will do the right thing and something good will come of it. Good on him! Second time in three weeks that he has carried the rest of the team.

He can seriously play. So strong overhead for somebody his size. But what struck me most was his pace and chasing, I thought he was a bit of a plodder but he can run. Great game Col

Outstanding game from Col.

His past month has been the sort of football that he should be playing. Never mind about winning or losing - if we can see a breakout year from Col, some experience for the likes of Watts, Grimes, Jurrah, Maric etc. , then I'll be happy.

Is climbing the B & F ladder awfully quickly is Col.

Is clearly in Career best form, its a credit to him. IMO he would be in All Aust form at the moment, lets hope he keeps it up for the rest of the year. Just needs some mates now to follow his lead.

On today's effort all three should be hanging their heads in embarrassment today.

Sylvia's last two efforts at the G have been awesome individual efforts that other more fancied players should be watching a replay of.

Moloney wasn't bad today, he and Sylvia were the only players who would kick the ball and create opportunities for the forwards.

Beamer was respectable today. On a type of day when the handball should be outlawed, his style of play actually helped us get on the scoreboard. He didn't put in 4 quarters though. Green was OK and made a target early on.

Hang on 'Geddy Lee', not quite all...

for me today.... Sylvia was great. Also thought Davey and Grimes good. Watts ok for his debut game....

If Sylvia's last month is a true indication of the rest of his career, then it's been well worth the wait.

Reminds me of the story of the famous story of the extraordinary trumpet player Wynton Marsalis.

Wynton's trumpet teacher was perplexed at how slow Wynton learned compared to the rest of the students. Young Wynton would take longer to learn things, and spent an alarming amount of time practicing basic elements, again and again.

As time went buy, the rest of the students plateaued, and little Wynton slowly but steadily closed the gap between him and the rest of the players. His rock-solid fundamentals help him form an incredible basis for tone, technique and technicality.

Wynton's improvement was much slower, his gradient much lower, but eventually he overtook the other students and kept going and going to become the greatest. And no-one remembers the names of any of the other trumpet players.

Beautifull, lets hope so.

How much longer is he banned for anyway? The site becomes x10 less entertaining without him here.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
