It's times like these when the Demons faithful should be out in force at the 'G'! I'm looking forward to when the umpire holds the ball aloft for the opening siren. Go Dees!

For some reason our fans don't turn up to away MCG games.

Really?

I never noticed.

I'll go to any game I can get to at the G, as long as MFC are playing.

Home/ Away makes no difference (to me, that is, not our coffers).

and thanks for steeling me thread :P

btw, here is the leader board as of last week:

21,030 at AAMI Stadium

Congratulations to Carn Dees with 21,091. Our best guess yet!

Winners:

Round 1: (H) Melbourne vs North Melbourne - 28,707 at the MCG - Nugget Jones (29,000)

Round 2: (A) Collingwood vs Melbourne - 43,176 at the MCG - Azzkika (45,000)

Round 3: (A) Port Adelaide vs Melbourne - 21,030 at AAMI Stadium - Carn Dees (21,091)

Round 4: (A) Richmond vs Melbourne - at the MCG - Winner (prediction)

In between 40-50,000 this is the match of the round.

C'mon Demon Supporters let us watch the Tigers eat themselves in apoplectic Rage & Misery after we beat them on Sunday.

I love Dean Baileys work, but i consider this his first real test. The Tigers are mentally fragile & we can win this game. A loss is unacceptable. (even a close one)

Win Demons...

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
