On behalf of demonland, i would like to give a BIGGG thankyou to Andrew Mamonitis!!!

Hear, hear...

This is not just a great moment for the club but IMO this is just a great story. A passionate supporter asks himself not what the club can do for him but what he can do for his club - what a great bloke. If this doesn't get the red and blue army stirring then nothing will. Well done to Jimmy and the club and all our valued sponsors as well.

Great to have Kaspersky on board as joint major partner. Met some of their guys at the launch today and they are genuinely excited to be part of the MFC - great story about how it all came about, should be in the papers tomorrow - literally called the membership hotline and asked to speak to someone about sponsoring the club!

Saw some mock ups of the jumper/merchandise today and it looks pretty bloody good if you ask me. Should be available for sale end of April I believe.

As for the details - our sponsorship is mainly signage (front of jumper, match ball, goalposts etc) with not much corporate - theirs is more of a mix plus they sponsor the coaches apparel.

All in all a great result - now we can get on with winning some football matches!

We will now no longer be the whipping boys nor the butt of jokes about the nonames etc.

We're back !!

The Demon is well and truly back... the others might want to take note ;)

I am really excited about the sponsorship and thank Kaspersky so much. But do you think Kaspersky should have a quiet word to their logo designer? :(

I actually really like the logo.... its different.... unique

hankook1, just out of curiosity are Hankook continuing their seperate sponsorship with the MCG this year ie the signage they have/had there?

Shhhhh! I kept my thoughts to myself on that one.

Fantastic news to wake up to.......

And I will join the chorus of folk in congratulating Jim, Cameron and all those involved in signing this deal.

Not to mention Andrew Mamonitis, who did what all members want to be able to do, and that is to help secure the future of our beloved club any way they can.

It has been a long time since we have been able to look into the future positively, but hopefully now we can.

Well done to everyone on a very successful (and relatively lucrative) announcement!!!

I'd like to point out that its really quite clever advertising considering our backline looks to be a strength.

I'd pit our backline against most others in the AFL

We are hopeful of having the signage deal done in the next few days 1858, at both the G and the Dome. Confident we will be there up for round 1!

I think the logo is great. It stands out from the rest and really catches your eye.

Actually reminds me of the 'Mates of MElbourne' Logo a little bit

Well lets put it this way... It looks alot better than the Mission Foods logo...

Gippy

So good news all round then Hankook......

And thanks for all your info over the last few weeks it has been and will continue to be greatly appreciated!!!

Excellent stuff, in my mind this is good for MFC as well as Hankook. As the MFC/Hankook association grows over the next couple of years I am hoping that when people see your venue signage that they also think of MFC and that we build a bigger presence - especially at the MCG (reverse advertising was my initial thought). Given Hankook have built up a good association with footy (in my mind anyway) over the years with their bold venue signage anything is possible - who knows. Obviously I wish all the best to Hankook on getting a good return on their advertising investments both at the footy venues as well as with the Dees in any case.

This is exciting news. Kaspersky seem a fantastic company, with room to grow and for the MFC to be recognised alongside Kaspersky is a good thing for all concerned.

Proud Dee today.

Silly question. but will The Age stay on the shorts?

The Kaspersky logo is pretty good for logo purposes - it's distinct, it looks very much web/technology style, so it's on message, and it's just odd enough to be memorable.

I imagine it's original context would have been online, where it would suit quite nicely.

The colours are also kind of similar to the corporate colours for the place I work... I wonder if there's any belly-dancing functions planned soon?

Huge Day This one, thankyou to all. Now we must sort out the MCC affiliation Go Demons. I hope the players work as hard this year as Jimmy & co have so far. Lets win some games, cause a few upsets..

bloody legend!

Andrew is a member of this forum and Demonology... so he will read these messages...

He will be on the radio at 6.30 on Rex Hunt.

He is pretty excited about it all and now needs each of you to buy the great software.

Another sponsor to be announced next week.............................................

well done andrew, gee wiz another sponsor next week,it looks like were going places. GO DEMONS

Excellent news! $5m/3years is a very good package which should help mitigate some of the damage done over the last few months.

It is paticularly gratifying that it adds up to more than the misson deal.

Special thanks to Andrew Mamonitis - 2009's best supporter.

The Stynes/Cameron duo is absolute gold.

And as far as the footy goes, I don't think the Bailey/Connolly duo will be too shabby either.

Onwards and upwards.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
