Kick to kick in Bushby Street, Midvale, must have been something to behold.

The street claims a piece of history for producing three selections in the AFL national draft later this month.

And not just any three: Nick Naitanui, likely to be chosen by West Coast at No. 2; Chris Yarran, who many recruiters rate as the most talented player in the draft; and Michael Walters, an AFL/AIS graduate and All-Australian under-18 in 2008.

From what I've seen of Chris Yarran, whilst I thought others stood out more, he has shown glimpses of great talent. A bit of X-factor about him. Of what I have seen, he has reminded me of Adam Goodes - like attributes. IMO would be very handy player to have on a list, regardless of it being, or not being Melbourne's list.

Could be, but I seriously doubt whether he could be the next Fiora

Ruckman take some time to develop, and this kid sounds like he is worth developing.

I think given the need for young ruckman, he will go top 15. IF he is available when the dees priority and/or second round pick comes up, he could be wearing the red and blue considering we missed out on Warnock.

Will be interesting to see how the kid goes in the AFL, at 17 it could be a few years before he asserts his dominance on the game.

Also important to note, drafting a 17yo WA kid could have "trade me home I miss mummy and daddy" written all over it. We cannot afford this at the MFC, that said, we must take the best available player at each stage in the draft if we are going to have a future.

i have heard he off the field he lacks the determination and desire....

that could change for the better or get worse?

I'd be looking at who else was living in the street 18-19 years ago..... or perhaps the milko or garbo!!
