Power Puts Top Picks on the table

Featured Replies

I actually think they are fishing for Kerr myself.

This thread is both funny and horrible.

Bell and Pick 35 for Pick 4? no way in hell. I cant belive you for even suggesting it.

Bell and Pick 35 for Pick 22 more likely.

I wonder if it'll be a Pick 4 to Sydney for Ryan O'Keefe.

Seems interesting, if my memory serves me correctly, that Roos stated O'keefe would come at a cost (a first round draft pick), then the "Power" come out and claim they'll be putting their top picks up for auction...

Unlikely that we would have the goods to deal with Port Adelaide for pick #4 but there would be a few prospects for pick # 22 which might still be a valuable selection for us.

the only one i'd do that i've seen here is:

Miller, Bell, Pick 19 for Pick 4 and their 3rd rounder

Some of these trades are laughable.

McLean and 17 would struggle to get pick 4.

You don't get gold by trading crap. And adding another piece of crap doesn't make the deal any more enticing.

Bell + 35 + 51 would be lucky to get pick 34.

are you joking here or being serious- pick 34 is pretty much equivalent to 35. so adding bell...and then adding 51 is an absolute joke mate. learn the capers of how trades work

One of Bell and Miller and pick 35 or /Green and pick 35/, could get us pick 4

can someone tell me whether priority picks can be traded? BEcause i would love to get pick 18, then we could have pick 17, 18 and 19. that would be sick! but i dont think you are allowed to trade away priority picks

You're delusional and making yourself look silly, kid. Bell, Miller, Green and pick 35 wouldn't get a top 10 pick.

I'd recommend you go easy on the posting and read and learn a tad more. It's a little embarrassing.

Jared Rivers is the only MFC player that I can see that could get pick 4 from Power.

Yeah, i don't think Rivers would be enough, given his recent run with injuries. But if he was, tempting.........extremely tempting.

Rivers and Green might get us there. Losing Rivers would be sad but pick 4 means a special, hopefully uninjured, star of the future

Davey plus pick 19 in a flash.

Then CJ and Bell to WC for pick 18

Green to whoever for a top 25 pick

Picks 1,4.17.18.25. Now we're talking.

Sorted: Daniel Bell and pick 35 for Pick 4

if they want him, could happen

Ahaha - you've got to be kidding.

It never ceases to amaze me how supporters can think that players who are borderline best 22 and are one bad year, or closer, to getting delisted are able to yield a pick such as 18 in a fantastic draft. The packaging of them together makes it even funnier. Crap + Crap + Crap = quality pick.

Fail.

Brad Green is worth a top 10 pick on his own mate- i suggest you learn

15 other clubs fans have already stated they'd do that. Pick 5 for garland was accepted by bombers fans FFS.

you obviously as well have no idea about the trading caper

This is coming from the same guy who posted that Bell and Pick 35 would get us Pick 4. Laughable.

BB! If you can pull off a top 10 pick for Green I will streak the MCG in Round 1 next year!

Your gotta be kidding!

The only way he will be involved in a top 10 trade is if he is packeged with another player or pick!

Green and Davey to Port for Pick 4. Same on offer to Essendon Pick 5 and Carlton Pick 6.

Nice work Dee tention. You provided an entire post about obtaining another top pick and didn't mention Vickery once. Well done!

o'keefe is probably as good as green- he's worth a top 10, so green is as well

judd is a superstar and was worth pick 3, pick 20 and a player. so 3 things had to be done to get a good player. green would be jsut worthy of a top 10 pick. i cant believe hannabal and wiseblood- who is not so wise.

Vickery with Pick 4!

interesting that freo have declined and said they wont accept pick 24 for warnock!! we may still be in it yet!

think i'd prefer seaby over warnock. much more experience and we know he's good.

Throwing some ideas in the air, with Kerr now out of the equation, the list of 'stars' Williams hopes to land is growing thin.

I think there's a good chance Didak will wind up at Port, giving Collingwood pick 4.

Obviously Collingwood still think their premiership window is ajar, so there would be a fair chance they'd be willing to trade it on.

We could easily get another first rounder, it depends what we're willing to lose. I know Bruce is a maligned player on this forum, but I still think he has a good reputation in the AFL and could be a part of the deal.

Yes. I believe they are fishing for Didak too!

But if we are to be in the race for Pick 4. This is what I think we could offer!

Miller, Bell and Pick 19 for Pick 4 and 3rd round pick.

Miller, Davey for Pick 4 and Bentley.

Miller and Green for Pick 4.

Davey, Bell for Pick 4 and Bentley.

Davey and Frawley for Pick 4.

Davey and Green and Pick 19 for Pick 4 and Bentley.

Can any of these work? I would trade in a heartbeat!

not a big fan of Aeron Davey?........

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
