would he be any good at melbourne?

he does fit the youth policy..

i'd heard that we're interested from a few guys in the media. Not sure if he'd want to go back home to WA, although is manager Ricky Olarenshaw said that he might want to stay in Melbourne. Interesting, seen a few doggies games this year and he isn't that bad. was v highly rated when he first came onto the scene- may need a new environment, as he himself has probably realised.

He would of fit into our 2008 team nicely, in fact he would of been one of our better kickers of the football and he can't hit a target. He can run fast and get the footy just can't hit targets.

No, no, no... he's a dud.

His performance in the qualifying final was atrocious. The performance was consistent with his ability.

Youth is not the only prerequisite.

Never seen him get a hard ball.

You do not win flags with Farren Ray type players. Let him be someone else’s problem.

2003 Draft. 'Nuff said.

I suppose my mail in him was crap then?

pfft..

Interesting you say that..

Expect news on him by next week, he may come cheaper than most would expect..

The no.1 in PSD makes things alot esaier, as the cats are almost forced to take a 3rd round pick or nothing..

Still alot to be done yet, he still hasnt gotten back to the club RE the offer..

No thanks!

Cant get a game because he aint good enough. Another Kane Tenace. Back to the WAFL Farren.

goooooooooooooood

liking it

cmon prismall

We already have Simon Buckley to fill the role of lightning quick, unskilled, bewildered footballer. Off to Freo with him.

Bit harsh on Ray..

He's ok, and has alot of improvement in him..

I agree he's not a game braeker, yet, but he can break the lines, and they are the type of players that would help Bails' playing style..

But, id only want him if he came cheap..

But yes, he will return to WA.. so we wont have to worry..

That may be so, Nudge, but we use those excuses on our own 2003 draftees. We don't need another.

How many drafts can lay claim to a Brownlow medalist?

that didn't think they deserved it?

Cooney's a very good player, he's 1 of about 4 from that pitiful draft.

Dog [censored]! :o

Rubbish. Farren Ray is the perfect player for us as he would fit in nicely with our game plan which, as far as I can work it out, involves hoping and praying that we get the centre clearance, promptly spraying it laterally in the direction of the wing where the players have fanned out to pick up the easy ball and then miskick it so that it ends up inside the scrimmage of players in the middle.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
