This thread is some kind of joke right?

For the sake of all humanity, can someone please confirm this is a joke!

Why would it be a joke? Do you not think he has added value to his name with his decent form in the last couple of weeks. I am not saying he should be traded i am just saying that his value would of increased. No Joke!

More travelling sideways as he learns a new craft, tagging the very best players in the league. I don't think Adam Cooney would think he's stalled

Fair enough. He has done some good tagging jobs.

I stated that CJ was soft because he has demonstrated on numerous occasions a propensity to shirk contests in the air and on the ground. Once a player has shown this side of their makeup it's a long way back for me. Granted his attack on the ball has been better of late, but I'll not easily forget what I consider to be major flaws in his football character. When the heat is really on in a final what sort of performance is CJ going to give his teammates ?

i'm sure you have seen, as i have, cale morton pull out of contests, but that is ok because he's younger and smaller than c.j? i understand the difference between finals football and home and away, but that does'nt mean every player on our list has to be as hard as nails. i have seen plenty of soft players have a major impact on finals (eg.michael long) who have done so because they have SOME hard players around them. i just think c.j is just now starting to adjust to the tempo of the game and feels comfortable, so who are we to stay his development stops here? lets judge him 12 months down the track rather than 5 weeks after he's started playing good footy.

btw, i have seen bradley, long etc pull out of plenty of contests. when long used to stick his leg out into an opponent to avoid contact, was as weak as shirking a contest imo, and he used to do it all the time.

There's no doubt that he needs to eradicate that aspect of his game as he gains confidence and physically develops. I cut him slack because he's a first year player and a far better footballer than CJ.

If he's doing it in his 3rd and 4th years I'll be dismayed. The credits don't last forever.

agreed, and i cut c.j some slack because he is obviously taking longer to develop than most. c.j had the size from day one at the club, but the confidence has come in the last 5 weeks. if he melts the first time the heat is on, i'll tilt my hat to you.

he's not a midfielder he's a running half-back flanker

i'm not saying he will be a gun, but he well might, at the very least I think he can deservedly and competently hold down one of the HBFlanks for a long time to come

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
