Garland Article

Garland sounds like an interesting character and someone who may well repay time and faith placed in him. Clearly the club is keen on him.

Great article and the ending is a pisser

This kid could really be the find of the draft. When you heard these stories about late devloping footballers they usually end up being a bust but with Colin I think we've already seen enough to suggest that we have a future AA player on our hand.

"I was thinking about all the blokes in history who only got one handball in their first game and I found that really hard"

Good to see symmetry in the Colin's.

He seems like a pretty cool guy. Loves the game and has natural talent, but knows how unimportant football is in the scheme of things. I hope he continues to do himself and his mother proud.

Neita was a star at centre half back.

I'd like to think that Garland is learning to play as a

forward by minding opposition main players.

Slot him in at full forward next year.

An interesting read, and good to see the Dees getting exposure.

Pretty interesting story - loved the bit where he was sneakily put into the U/18's team.

"At the nursing home she works in, they all sit around and watch the game. Her last name is Miller, so because all the old people are pretty senile they all think her son is Brad Miller. She was pretty popular when he kicked the winning goal against Brisbane."

Gold :D

my favourite part is the end, where the geriatrics get excited when frosty kicks the goal. priceless.

Colin Garland is an absolutely top bloke and one who deserves every bit of recognition he gets he is good mates with my best mate and have met him a couple of times. Well done mate keep up the great work.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
