  1. yeah well written. i only posted on the simple words."the group said they were hard done by" my comments re=wilson/murphy/skilton were based on the fact ,they played in krap teams and never gave up and also led for their respective clubs with great admiration from me and many others. JW[again gets a mention] if making this comment [nothing to do with the 50s 60s 70s] should know better. its pretty simple, the players have had 6 years of maybe krap coaching, but have also had 6 years of opputunity and i would say quite a number have failed to grasp those chances. anyway, play on
  2. it was an opinion on what was written.thats the evidence i based my comment on. ive supported many a player and the club for many years.this poor me attitude from posters and people within the club is absolutely sunday church league rubbish. this young man JW. knows everything he says will be reported, whether the op is true or not,my comment was based on what was written. anyway, get on with the game, ive lost too much sleep. cant say ive knocked JW to much in my time.over protected him actually, because his teammates left him out to dry.
  3. i remember john murphy, gary wilson playing in a terrible fitzroy side. these blokes never whinned and just got on with the business. bobby skilton was in a similar situation, never complained and never doubted his ability to have a go and try your best. excuses are for softkoks when it comes to footy. we have run out of excuses, the whole club has run out of excuses. would be embarassed as a player to make comments like this. the last 6 years ,should have taught them something about footy and prepared for the next 5 years.
  4. PR,wouldnt have kept jamar unless he thought he was worthy of another year. injured a lot =yes hasnt reached the previous highs=yes worthy of the number 1 spot=yes.
  5. your right and im top of the pile. i dont care that dons drugged players. i dont care dons systematically cheated. i dont care that all new players to the code will have a big say in whats injected into their body from now on. i dont care if the bombers fold. i dont care if jimbob implodes and never instructs young people again. its a different opinion , have a nice day fella. btw biggestred articulates this much better than i, but looking at his haircut ,thats understandable.
  6. yes it is some sort of record. perhaps we can pretend its actually a higher figure. just to keep the season on track with others. misson 3 preseason folly ,might be paying off. also there is probably a number of undisclosed minor injuries not reported as yet. when the season proper starts, then these minor injuries will be listed.
  7. trenners/grime dont have to carry their bodies through the gutz all day he will play them where they belong.
  8. all very interesting. but why didnt he make these comments last year? i was very disappointed that the AFL family all stood deathly quiet and hid under the bedcovers during the early phase of this drama. if somebody came out last year and threw petrol on the fire ,we may have got a different result to what we now have. after all this drama,it would have been over much earlier and with less pain to the AFL and essendon,if somebody stood up. players, coaching staff, administrators, afl, other clubs, anybody.
  9. yes well it helps us normal people i think?
  10. mmmmmmm. their was a lady with red hair,PH she put up a proposal to send every bit of nuff nuff english trash back home. unfortunately didnt get the popular vote ,to make this dream come true. there is nights when i have a cuppa on the porch and hope we can send the commision dole bludgers back. not be atm. maybe we will vote for a dictator one day and get our own flag ,this could be the catalyst for sending back the trash.
  11. wow,now were bored. early season practise matches, different players. different roles. different game plan poster hasnt put up any prize for guessing the right answer.
  12. spot on gramps. the PR way is to cut down on ball use and mistakes, thats why terlich and others will be more effective this year. prepare for games that are 10 goals to 7 at 3/4 time. they might look boring ,but we will always be in with a chance to sneak a win. this is the PAUL ROOS way. so i hope dee supporters dont complain about boring footy this year.
  13. heard a rumour the other day, hes started to train and decided to take up footy. he also apparently has a coach that knows the value of being patient and getting the player right, before putting him on the field. funny way to go about it,but shaping of the forward line will be interesting ,until mitch arrives with full fitness. dont think pr is not afraid to use other players in the meantime.
  14. SA.cant believe the dropped catch of warner at fine leg, schoolboy stuff. johnston, simply unplayable. pitch, havent seen grubbers since MCG[1980s] SA.batsmen not wanting to get behind ball. doolan,2 of the best short leg catches ive seen for awhile. i thought this was going to be a contest?
  15. mmmm just a hitout. toump, viney, barry and jhk. being led up for thier 2/3rd preseasons and will swap around and protect them this year. dunn.pedo, tmac types will do similar jobs for year and be good fillers, thats whats required in modern footy. filled the midfield void and made it easier for the younger brigade to get value for age. terlich.said this last year, kamikaze in a rubbish squad, boss has tightened up his turnover rate and made responsible for when he has pill. grime/trenner gravediggers that can now do whats best for thier and our game. rucks, work in progress and coach loves 2 ruckman.they will all get a go, and WHEN fit, all in all ,it was a hitout, nothing more nothing less.
  16. quick update were 2 far warner played a shocker of a shot his opening partner however copped a rib tickler.unavoidable theres 46people[including players] at the game and the pitch looks grassy and might give a bit morkel looks faster than anything our players have faced for a while.
  17. red it appears your standing in a schoolroom ,wearing a pat cash headband. undecided to you being perfect . that 2 things against you. james father had a bad day, dropped his sunnies off the side of the boat, spilt red wine on his white sailing shirt. also found out that tanna uses moustache removal cream. all in all a bad day for mr hird senoir. but still the golden boy shines for the family and brings greatness to all
  18. not sure if it was the gat similar tiles but no thongs that means no entry
  19. notice the 3rd toe on the left foot is deformed maybe the legs of a WA wet tree frog in advanced stages of dementia?
  20. thats why im so interested in how jamar is coming along. fitz and max are expected to play big parts if the other 2 are injured. jamar is definately needed if this is the case.
  21. played in plenty of losing teams in my time never left somebody out to dry. first rule of footy.protect the kids at all costs, should also add, when your a low team on the totem pole, youve got to hang your hat on something. we made a pact when a losing club ,never give them an easy shot. and when the good days returned we had a forceful approach in place. its easy to invest in those types of things when you have no chance of winning. a matter of fact its the only thing you can invest in. some of those young kids carried me when my legs were shot and i hid in the back pocket in later years
  22. in all my years of footy,it never wouldve happened our fathers and club members would have tore strips of us as players,if we let that happen to a kid.
  23. and an all round good bloke on mondays. just thought it was time to get lots of families to the game the AFL needs a good story right now
