  1. Their only real challenge so far this season was against the Cats and they failed. No doubt they’ll pump West Coast as they excel at thumping weaker opposition. Edit : they beat the Swans which was a decent win, but the cats had a few out and to me that loss spoke volumes.
  2. For arguments sake Jackson signs a two year extension taking him to the end of the 2024 season, at the start of the 2025 season our list could be looking something like this. Note : players age in brackets at the start of the season. I think they’re right…. Rivers (23) ? Lever (28) Bowey (22) Petty (25) Salem (29) Langdon (29) Petracca (28) Brayshaw (28) Spargo (24) Weid (27) ANB (28) Fritsch (29) JVR (21) Pickett (23) Gawn (33) Oliver (27) Viney (30) BEDFORD (24) SPARROW (24) JORDAN (24) Harmes (29) Potentially retired : May (32) TMac (32) Brown (32). These three players alone free up a lot cap space. Without factoring in any future players that have been traded / drafted in, that is still a very competitive team. Our window is open for the next 5 years.
  3. I tried it, it’s picking up my location. I’m about as tech savvy as a pile of stacked house bricks. Its $17 US for watchafl.com, looking attractive at this point.
  4. How do members / fans overseas watch? Thanks.
  5. I read your post re the Giants, they burnt me rd’s 1,2, 4 & 6. On top of that I haven’t tipped the Crows all year. Should of known better….
  6. I agree with this. Of the 22 behinds how many were missed set shots and how many were missed shots in play? Tigers tried their best to keep themselves in the game through the pressure they applied when they didn’t have the footy. Let’s not get carried away, 19 goals 6 last week. 10 goals 2 in the 3rd and at one stage 8 straight from 10 inside 50’s. What happened tonight will be addressed by the coaches as we move onto next week’s game.
  7. During the 3/4 of last week we kicked 10.2. At one point 8 straight from 10 inside 50’s.
  8. I feel for Viney and Lever, they too will have to go back to Casey to earn their spots back in the side.
  9. This year marks my 18th consecutive as a Redleg and my fiancé 1st. I hail from Melbourne where I would attend every home game but have lived in Sydney for the last ten years. Since the move I have flown down for 3-4 games each year and attended our Sydney games (which are seldom, yet to do the Canberra trip). Obviously the last two years has wreaked havoc, got to the QB game last year only to witness the uncharacteristic loss to the Pies. We flew down this year for rd 3 Friday night v the Bombers for what I considered to be an ordinary game and crowd. I’m getting married this Saturday then we’re jetting off for ten nights. Upon our return we’re booking flights to come back down, currently looking at rd 12 v the Swans, rd 15 v the Lions and either rd 21/22 Pies or Blues (I’d love to play Carlton next week and put them back in their box). I agree with some of the other posters, we have turned up game after game, year after year only to watch our team get flogged from pillar to post. We are in the midst of greatness, we should be turning up in the masses for not only are we a real chance for our own dynasty, this may never happen again in our lifetime. Edit : How good is Kayo for when we can’t be there.
  10. I’m waiting for the day when a coach walks, all the crap about their too proud…. You’ve been at a club for ten seasons and this is all you have to show. Leon Cameron in the same boat, 9 seasons with all of the talent at his disposal.
  11. Games against top 8 sides from last season. 4 : Dees 3 : Lions, Bombers, Cats, Norf, Swans 2 : Crows, Blues, Pies, Freo, Suns, Giants, Hawks, Port, Tigers, Dogs 1 : Eagles 0 : Saints
  12. I don’t recall him ever losing it based on his form. His three finals last year speak volumes (and the rest of his career). His inclusion immediately makes us a better side. If either of Tmac’s or Weid’s performance tonight was good enough to keep Brown out I must be watching a different game. Brown will come back in just as Petty did this week.
  13. Yet to beat a top 8 side. Yet to play one….
  14. 13 inside 50’s for 8 goals straight so far this qtr.
  15. And just like that the Giants could not longer sustain their pressure. Switch flicked.
  16. 2 good marks in quick succession to the Weid.
  17. They have but I think we’ve handled it well, only difference being that’s the Giants best and we’re running at about 75-80%. That Kosi non handball to Fritsch was effectively a two goal turn around.
  18. He looked at one stage to take a chest mark one handed, not sure if he was being held but that’s how it appeared.
