  4. We should be in for a footy feast from the Thursday before Good Friday until the Sunday after Anzac Day. An article a couple of months ago mentioned the Lions requested playing the Pies on the Thursday night before Good Friday. Blues, Dogs and Saints loom as North’s only possible Victorian opponent should North hold the rights for Good Friday due to the hectic schedule. If this was to go ahead, us and the Toiges should be two of the Saturday games for equal rest heading into Anzac eve. As far as Essendon is concerned, no one really cares how much rest they get going into Anzac Day. 2019's festival of footy Thursday 18 April: Thursday Night Footy Friday 19 April: Good Friday game Saturday 20 April: Four games Sunday 21 April: Easter Sunday – two games Monday 22 April: Geelong v Hawthorn Tuesday 23 April: No footy Wednesday 24 April: Richmond v Melbourne Thursday 25 April: Anzac Day – Collingwood v Essendon Friday 26 April: Friday Night Footy Saturday 27 April: Four games Sunday 28 April: Two games
  5. G’day fellas, I think we are in for a cracking Caulfield Cup. I have The Cliffsofmoher on top. Terrific run in the Caulfield Stakes. Was last at the 400 and it really was an eye-catcher. I’m interested where Bowman will settle the horse during the run. Luck will play a major part. From barrier 3 it would be risky to settle in the rear end of the field like the horse did last week and hope to go around the majority of a big field or hope for miracle runs on the inside. I can see Hugh settling in the front half. Another slight concern is the 7 day backup. Best Solution, Ace High, Ventura Storm, Kings Will Dream and Youngstar round out my top 6 at the moment. Looking to box the 6 in a tri and first 4. The Japanese horses have experience with racing in big fields but I’m happy to pass on them at this stage. Runners of interest: Sound Check- Ran a 2nd within 0.3 of a length of Best Solution in its last start and has 7 wins to date. Duretto- Well, we all know about hoodoos and unwanted records. The last time a horse saluted in a Caulfield Cup from the one barrier was in 1941. Definitely worth something small each way and is a 6 time winner. Red Verdon- I like anything Ed Dunlop. Red Cadeaux became a favourite amongst Aussies. The key with this horse is Zac Purton, big time jockey. Will finalise my selections by tomorrow night, by the above I’m boxing the field.
  6. I’m none the wiser either old dee, I was only playing along. How was the banana on muesli this morning?
  7. Harmes to Selwood?
  8. It’s on now Macca. I’m liking the The Cliffsofmoher at the moment and if the folks aren’t satisfied with the Caulfield Cup race meet there’s always Cranbourne on the Sunday where El Magnificence will make his return (most likely).? We should know in an hour or two.
  9. Thank you for the interview. It was fantastic listening to PJ. He believes 55,000 Members next year is the mark hopefully. Let’s get it done
  10. I’ll admit I haven’t been a May fan but he wears the colours now and you have to like it when players show commitment in coming to our club. The club have identified a need and hope the members on here that rate May are proven right. All the best for your career in the Red and Blue Steven.
  11. That was a lot fun, who are we playing Round 1?
  12. NFL

Dee Zephyr replied to Dappa Dan's topic in Other Sports
    Broncos, Vikings, Rams.
  13. Let’s get to 400 before they announce the trade.
  14. One more clue please. Anything to do with the number 10?
  15. I’d love to get a young player back from Freo, Tom Morris’ early prediction ‘On The Couch’ was we would get a first rounder and a player back. He mentioned this a couple of days after the GF. Can’t remember the specifics but he believed the Neale trade would commence an 8 way mega trade.
  16. Haha, this is chill out time for me Wadda, with my late finishes i come home and the clan is asleep. I can surf demonland hassle free and check out all the racing and sports news. Bliss i tell ya.
  17. $13 for your buck with Neds.
  18. Ha Ha Wadda, I’m up mate. I forget there’s a bit of mid-week action on here, spending too much time on the Hogan thread trying to make sense of it all. I’ll have a small nibble on Germany 2-1 correct score.
  19. How good would it be to somehow get Cerra ripe?
  20. Good question. It’s probably been mentioned somewhere in these 380 odd pages. Was this plan B for May if Jesse stayed? Or do we have someone else in mind and we’ve kept really quiet about it?
  21. They’re playing hard ball with West Coast or Geelong got really clever after the reported offer of pick 11 from Freo for Kelly. Tom Browne reported on 7 news the other night the Cats approached Kelly’s management and asked if Kelly was willing to talk to the Dockers to which he replied no, he’d prefer to stay at the Cats. Looks like they’re trying to price West Coast out, Kelly is homesick after all but will only play for the Eagles.
  22. I hope the 76.13% of the voters on here get their wish tomorrow. I’m going with the long shot. Jesse stays.
  23. I hope the Goggleboxers tune in for this beauty.
  24. You’re right dc, I was merely looking for a distraction today.
