We were going to rest him anyway....

Sexton is a gun, pity he extended his contract two months ago until the end of 2023.

Welcome Kyle, now convince your brother to pop over to us as well in October.
-
Saw that, don’t know exactly what happened. They were seated in level 2 of Northern and Melbourne fans from Level 1 were looking up and cheering the eviction. Edit: Isn’t Level 2 Northern a premium reserved seating area for us?

Smother the balls with vaseline at training all week. This is the humid of the NT games right?

Monday best A bit left field, not much else on. English League 1 Promotion Playoff at 00.00 Charlton v Sunderland Sunderland Win $2.60 (Normal Time)

De Boer has many scalps this season tagging, there’s another one. Not that it would have made a difference but why not throw Oliver forward in patches and bring Gus back in the middle.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHARLIE SPARGO
Dee Zephyr replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
He must be a really good trainer, selection not warranted at all today based on a quiet Casey game 3-4 weeks ago after omission and then a couple of weeks off with some kind of foot issue. Again, what was his role today? Hardly saw him at the fall of the ball in the forward line, did see him deep in defence a few times. At least they had a plan albeit unsuccessfully with C Wagner for a while and that was to try and stick with Whitfield from the GWS half back line. -
Can someone please explain the role of Spargo today? I was there and for the life of me I couldn’t work it out. Hasn’t played for nearly a month and yet gets the late call up to replace our best player for the year possibly. When you bring players in the team you hope they at least have some impact. C Wagner and Spargo brought nothing, they weren’t alone though. Max led our possessions, we need to clone him. For at least three consecutive centre bounces in the third our forward 6 were, Lockhart, Spargo, Garlett, Hunt, Stretch and Baker. Not sure if by design or due to T Mac moving back and Smith copping a knock again. Odd set up i thought at the time. From ground level the Giants looked too explosive for us at stoppages and used the ball really well. Beaten by a much better team today.

Williamstown v Casey Demons - Round 8
Dee Zephyr replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not Casey D Zone, it was a typo, we’re down 77-61. -
Junk time hasn’t even commenced yet. Can’t believe my eyes that quarter, so many jogging around just pointing to GWS players.
-
Christ, just saw. Spargo comes in? Don’t know what to make of that.
-
Ablett seems very confident he has nothing to worry about. Post game he claimed it was just clumsy and the undisciplined act only deserved a free kick. Wonder if Mr MRO heard that and gave it a nod of approval.
-
Angry man at the moment, he swung with his left first and missed. I don’t think anyone can help him with this one but, AFL and fair dinkum split up a long time ago.
-
No way did it look like 80,000 plus at the G from the TV, a Richmond mate at the game isn’t paying it either. Did they take pre sales into account?
-
Ablett can’t keep his hands down. Nice little jab on Miles’ chin. Let’s see how this plays out.
-
That was a dangerous tackle against Stratton? Poor Tim Smith then.

Anyone know anything about Frank Anderson? There’s been a fair bit of talk about him on radio in the last few days. Frank Anderson has gone from obscurity to intriguing prospect ahead of Monday's NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft http://m.afl.com.au/news/2019-05-25/from-suburban-footy-to-centrestage-ballwinners-blistering-rise

Sundae yum, where does the hot fudge go if one chooses to indulge?
-
If they want draft picks, Brown is probably the best trade value in that team. A few experts think he’s only worth a late first round pick at best. Where do you rate him 58? Sorry to sidetrack.
-
If he took Cunnington, Higgins, Ziebell and Goldstein with him they would be absolute cactus if they aren’t already. What have they got coming through in terms of young talent? They can’t have Preuss back. Hall hasn’t worked to date, Tyson is hurt but was languishing in the VFL prior. Polec and Pittard have been serviceable so far. Scott did ok with what he had, the future not looking so ok imo.

Is Rampe ok?

Good discussion binman, if anything it shows we still have some options even with 3-4 starting defenders out. Wagner can be used solely to negate Greene, Hore is quickly becoming a favourite amongst us, definitely not a one trick pony and loving his ability to win the one on one too.
-
Haven’t seen much of GWS this year. Has Greene been playing up the field more or still predominantly stationed inside 50? I wouldn’t be surprised if Hore goes to him early.
