@Macca @Wadda We Sing You guys up for a ‘Best’ on Straddie day? One of the good days for me.

Anyone order some..... and stop kicking behinds. Playing the Pies certainly revitalises you.

Was there a Goody presser today? Looks like both Lever and May will play should the former get through tomorrow’s session. Simon Goodwin not prepared to write off 2019 as Steven May and Jake Lever look to play http://m.afl.com.au/news/2019-06-06/anythings-possible-return-of-stars-keeps-demons-hopeful Add Salem and possibly Hore, the outs will be interesting.

Might as well put season for Vanders. 6-8 now, I thought I saw 3-5 a few days ago.

MCG predicting 82,000 on Monday. It would be awesome if we see so many of their fans leave early.

Would they bring him straight in to AFL? He hasn’t played for 5 weeks. Richmond also made him look like a superstar in the prelim.

Apologies, not sure where to post this. I was reading an article on AFL.com about ‘Your Club’s Burning Questions’ for next season and it states we should not overreact after expecting to contend this season. One of the questions being should we give up our first round pick. The writer believes we should be open to giving away our first round pick depending what’s on offer. I thought we had to use our first round pick since we haven’t used one since 2015.

The 10,000 didn’t turn up because their team wasn’t playing. The Gold Coast Suns do have the same colours as the Chinese flag.

Apologies for not putting a selection in Macca. A bit hectic around here yesterday. Nice selection by the way.

Lost count as to how many times the commentators blurted out umps were ‘blindsided’ when missing obvious frees.

Must be kidding

Did we sack Todd Viney at half time and make O Mac our goal kicking coach in the second half?

Trac beast mode this quarter.

Wagner should be blamed for dropping an easy mark in our attacking 50.

May was very good today and his work rate stood out to me more than anything else. I tried to watch him closely as much as possible and he was outstanding in that department. Several times he would start a metre or two behind his opponent and by the time the ball was there he caught up with speed to spoil or even got in front and marked. In the second quarter the ball was being contested in our forward half, May and his opponent were the only ones in our back 50 when another Werribee player snuck forward and created a 2 on 1. May decided to sit between them after not one teammate adhered to his calls of dropping back. May would have been 20 metres away from the secondary player when he realised we lost the ball at half forward and the now loose forward became the leading option for Werribee, May sprinted about 50 metres to close down that player on the back flank and spoiled the ball over the boundary. Brilliant stuff to much applause from the Casey faithful that ventured out. I thought KK got better as the game went on but was surprised to read he only had 12 touches. Dunkley was mainly used forward but it wasn’t a day for our forwards with poor delivery all day. He did show some strength though in the first quarter with a couple of fine tackles.

May has been very good down back so far.

KK warming up in the Gussy helmet.

Wow, this is a smashing. Great captain’s game by Ziebell, absolute wrecking machine tonight.

Carlton supporters at work are telling me they want to lose so Bolton can get the sack. Essendon supporters would also prefer to lose so Worsfold is sacked. Tipping a draw for that one.

This one is a tad exciting as a warm up to our Darwin game. Might be well worth the trip out there weather permitting. Quite a bit to look forward to.

We had our own version of the mosquito fleet going on in the 3rd quarter last week for at least 3 centre bounces. HF: Baker, Spargo, Stretch FF: Hunt, Garlett, Lockhart.

I think you have the Wagners mixed up. Josh was the one that got more of the ball, Corey was one of the players that offered the no support from further up the field you speak of. All I’m saying from my observations, Corey struggled to transition from the forward line to defence. I did see him try and run with Whitfield at times and couldn’t keep up, not many would though. Just the way I saw it dimmy, nothing personal against Corey.

Is play-on at all costs still the way to go?
Dee Zephyr replied to At the break of Gawn's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree, just look back to our 6 game winning streak last year. Ball movement was precise and fluent. Hogan, T Mac ( upon returning), Melksham, were firing. Add ANB, Trac and Hannan who were a great support cast. Every player seemed to know where to run in every forward chain from the back. Lever started hitting his straps by then also. The team was very settled. The game in Alice last year is a prime example. We had players that would turn as soon as they received and off one step would hit a target 50m down the line. Some games seemed like training runs for us. Daisy made the comment during that wonderful patch that not only did we move fast but we did learn to slow the game down too when needed. We had a good mix of fast and slow ball movement, totally different after our 2 and 3 start. Unfortunately this season there’s been so much shuffling the deck has been worn out. -

In: ANB, Salem, Weid, JKH Out: Spargo, Petty, Smith, C Wagner Risky call to bring JKH back after one game but i have more faith in him than Wagner at the moment and from all reports he didn’t miss a beat. Unfortunately Wagner has looked lost during our defensive zone set ups from what I have seen of him live.
