Round 20 - Non MFC Games.
Four weeks to go and it’s been hard to watch some games this year but a lot of us will be tuning in for the last month. No downer this week for Richmond, Tigers by 27. Haw v ESS. Can’t stand both of them. The arrogance of ESS supporters at work have me wearing my brown and gold hat on for tomorrow. They have penciled the R23 game against Port as the game that will get them in the finals. Breust to kick 6 and Uber the Bombers back to Tullamarine. Lions v Kangas. Lions are definitely not playing for draft picks. Higgins a big out, tough game for North. The Showdown. Crows anyone? Syd v Coll. Feel good story with Johnson returning, Pies missing Howe. Can’t pick this one. Someone suggested a draw on another thread for this game so draw it is, just to confuse us even more.

A Day at the Races
Since we are talking Swans binman, I had a look at the early market for our game against them. I realise the one week at time cliche but realistically speaking most of us are looking down the track ( not necessarily punt wise). We are $1.45, Swans $2.75 If we get up this week and Swans lose our odds will reduce further in my opinion. When was the last time we were that short against the Swans?

Goodwin Presser (2/8)
We had one particular poster label Jesse as pathetic and a disgrace for a month yet Goody sounds very happy with his form up to last week.

The 2018 Membership Ladder
A thought for Gold Coast. What will their number look like next year if they lose Lynch ( highly likely) and May ( possibility)?

Changes v Gold Coast Suns
We’re back to the extended benches tonight. In: Kent, Weid, AVB, Hannan, Pedersen Out: Milkshake

Please help find cooking review from Demonland
Did you try the Demons on Masterchef thread? Could be in there, I remember a funny post but not sure if it’s the same one you’re talking about.

Melksham Injures Hamstring
Melbourne FC @melbournefc Goodwin on Melksham: It looks like only the one week - it’s a really minor hamstring strain. He should recover really quickly.
-
Changes v Gold Coast Suns
He’s played 4 games since returning Layzie.

The 2018 Membership Ladder
The Richmond increase is ridiculous. From April to now they increased by a further 10%. I believe one game memberships were sold. Do they count?

James Harmes is our Special Guest on the Demonland Podcast (1/8)
What was the message at quarter time and how good was our defence when we weren’t playing our best footy early and were only 9 down with 8 or 9 less inside 50s? Oh, was there a wind blowing Adelaide’s way in the last?

Harmesy twice in a couple of months. Nice work, you have a regular now.

Run home to Finals - 2018
That would be ideal. You’re right, if ESS get done this week it’s unlikely they’ll beat Rich and Port both in the last two weeks. The bookies have the Lions favourites this week against North. Do we want Sydney or Pies to win? A Sydney loss and us winning gives us a real chance for breathing space. On the other hand Top 4 is a real possibility with a Pies loss. I know we can’t look too far ahead and all we need to do is keep winning but it can’t be helped.

Should Jack Viney consider amputating his toe for the team?
This thread needs a poll.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 19
King on SEN briefly touched on how important half forwards are with their defensive pressure and positioning. Went on to say players don’t need to touch the ball all that often to have a massive impact. He will show some footage of our game tomorrow night on 360 and singled out JKH as one of these players. It will be interesting viewing.

27,013
That would be a fantastic turnout if we got that number. We got just under 39,000 against the Saints and 30,000 against the Dogs.
-
27,013
Yes, easily. 31,964 is my guess.

Run home to Finals - 2018
Huge loss if accurate. Hasleby went on to say how players like Waterman and Rioli struggle without Kennedy, a forward general so to speak and the fact he’s good for 3-4 goals a game. Not sure SWYL, didn’t give details. I read earlier Kennedy has definitely been ruled out of the Derby and details about his injury and possible return date still to come.

Run home to Finals - 2018
Paul Hasleby was on SEN a short time ago and stated a story was breaking over in the West about J Kennedy possibly missing the next 3-4 weeks for the Eagles.

The Age: Dare to Dream
Funny you bring that up. Melksham was on the Sunday footy show and was asked about OMac having a shot at goal. Melksham said that OMac actually beat him in a goal kicking comp at training one day. After a bit of OMac gloating, Milkshake said to him “ If you ever get the chance to line up at goal you will absolutely ? your dacks”.

What they're saying over at West Lakes
Agree. We’ve seen many similar incidents paid like that all season. The thing that stood out was the commentators stated the central umpire 40 metres away paid it and not the closest ump. Was that the case? I imagine it’d be hard to see the gentle shove from such a distance . Not complaining though.

Round 23
Lyon and Watson on SEN suggested the R23 fixture could be released as early as today.

The Age: Dare to Dream
Not sure if the author watched the game against the Crows. Oscar fretful every time the ball came down? Jenkins and Walker had 3 marks between them for a combined score of 1.1. Hogan was quiet but still managed more marks than both of them.

ROUND 19 - Non MFC games
I’m more on the optimistic side, although we should worry about GC only for now.

ROUND 19 - Non MFC games
The Hawthorn v ESS is the early Saturday game. Shortish break for the Hawks after the Perth travel but it won’t make much difference after watching Freo stink it up. Sydney can’t seem to win at home and Pies showing plenty of ticker. Simply glad we won so we don’t have to think about other games for another week. Would we prefer the Swans or Pies to get up?
