Where is the Frost apology?
If someone could compile it, it would be the best highlight & blooper package ever.

Get Adem Yze back to the Dees.
Anyone have any idea on his contract status? After a few seasons as line coach, this is his first season in the new role of Head of Match Day Strategy and Opposition.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
He’s been exceptional the last two weeks. Runs extremely hard both ways, disposal has been a lot cleaner and I’m warming to Langdon a lot more than Hill recently. Hill for an experienced player made some bad mistakes against the Saints, especially late on that brought the Saints within a kick.

Craig Jennings Gone at Seasons End
Has this been brought up before? What’s this all about? (Self promotion bit) The club wasn’t rapt with his personal promotion. Jennings sought to promote himself, advised by a well-known PR agent. His public self-promotion campaign culminated in a profile piece in Virgin’s in-flight magazine.

Shaun Higgins
I wouldn’t mind him coming, very good player and doesn’t look like slowing down any time soon. Fox Sports reporting Geelong have emerged as a potential front runner to get him. Seriously, is there anyone not linked to that club?

Demonland Podcast featuring Bayley Fritsch 13/8 @ 8:30pm
Can’t recall if it’s been mentioned before, interested to hear if any other clubs had spoken to him prior to his draft year, or if he was told other clubs might be keen on him. Thank you.

Roos: Lazy Dees
What’s happened to training the last couple of weeks? I’ve seen at least twice on the website training has been rescheduled away from Goschs, possibly to Casey but the surface looked well below standard a few weeks ago. A DL reporter posted a possible cancelation last week after only spotting a handful of players doing some rehab. Even the player training report videos by players has disappeared the last fortnight.

Did they cost Max an AA nod by...
Lol Brown, team of the week for Grundy. Didn’t get a vote from either coach.

Doom and Gloom, some light reading.
It could be worse. Charlie Cameron’s haul of 6.1 was enough to outscore 3 teams this weekend and we weren’t one of them.

We need to find out why the Cleveland Browns in the NFL have the same luck as us and do the opposite.

Round 21 Non MFC Games
If you want to see dumb, watch the last 2-3 minutes of the Freo/Saints game. Lyon has every right to bake a few of those dumbos, starting with B Hill.

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
JKH is certainly trying his hardest to stay on the list. We were hearing ‘close’ for an ANB extension two months ago only to be replaced by the sound of crickets now. I honestly thought we were over looking forward to trades and drafts yet, here we are again jumbo. We await with great interest.

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
On footy smarts, footy IQ or however you choose to label it, how many do we have running around at the moment? I’m talking more about positioning when the ball is in transit to either end of the ground. From observations at the grounds, other teams seem to have players in the right positions before the ball even gets to them. The Fritta forward/back debate has gone on all season and apologies if it’s been mentioned already but his 14 marks inside 50 since R17 have him ranked equal third-most in the comp. Not a bad effort by the guy in a team that lacks ‘connection’. The guy just knows what do inside 50. One play stood out to me yesterday about a player double guessing himself for one reason or another. I’m talking about the Varcoe goal late in the second term. The ball had worked its way into the Pies’ attacking 50 near the Southern stand pocket, JKH worked hard to run back to the goal square and plonked himself there on his own. When Varcoe got the ball out of the pack, JKH inexplicably ran out of the square to about 20 metres out directly in front to guard no one. Varcoe snaps on the left, JKH does a mad dash back but too late. The ball crossed the line at waist height. This isn’t a knock on JKH ( tried hard all game), he was angry enough at himself for moving out in the first place and allowing a goal that shouldn’t have gone through. Little moments like that make a difference and make we wonder if it’s a player that can’t handle the top level or the coaching expects too much from current players.

Round 21 Non MFC Games
Under the roof there’s a team that scored their first and only goal so far 21 seconds into the game Wadda. The other team is almost in triple digits. It’s glorious viewing on this chilly night.

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
A massive shout out to the lady in the front row of M52. Not only was she trying to voice us supporters up during the game but she did a great job telling Pie fans to remove themselves out of a Melbourne reserved area. Something the staff obviously couldn’t give two hoots about. I hope you read DL, you were stellar on a pretty bleak day. As for the game, why do we constantly ignore the first option? We actually have some guys that run hard to create but are often ignored. Sidebottom or Smellybottom more appropriately on his own all game has been mentioned a heap. From what I saw it looked a coaching directive to have Jones for most of the game and Lewis in the last on the corner of the square at bounces so they can instantly drop back as a 7th defender. Poor coaching to let him run loose all day. 23 uncontested possessions and nearly 500 metres gained. He’s a good player but faark, let him earn them.
