  1. I’ll use that as a comeback to these ESS work colleagues that have been hammering me for 3 days straight regarding the umps. Forgot to mention they’re of the opinion Derm hates them in order to prove their point. Had to laugh when Tim Watson on 7 news last night said Essendon have resisted the urge to send a please explain to the AFL after Melbourne’s controversial win last Saturday night. Still struggling to see the controversy.
  2. 4 days later and those lovely ESS fans haven’t stopped the complaining. It doesn’t help when someone that dislikes them so much like Derm comes up with this beauty on SEN. It reads better if you pretend he’s taking the pizz out of them.
  3. Yep, this particular doc is only good for fake medical certificates. The only problem with ‘ignore’ is when someone quotes them often wsw. In the latter stages of 2018 this particular poster said in a game-day thread he would be going to the game and would not be happy even if we won that day. That says enough really.
  4. A bit of a brain fade there but loved how he didn’t go looking for somewhere to hide. Regained composure with a goal shortly afterwards and followed up with a nice shepherd for Spargo to get clear to score a goal. Love how we protect the ball carrier this year, something I thought we were lacking going into the season.
  5. Goodness me, some Essendon work colleagues weren’t very friendly today. I was greeted with “free kick Melbourne, GAGF” first thing. I just slightly pulled down the mask so they can see the grin on my face and told them to save their energy for the Cattery.
  6. Keen to see a lot more of Turner. The couple of times he was involved he recovered well to win the ball.
  7. Good start to the telecast, no new cases in VIC. Bounce the ball.
  8. Hi Sku, I’m not sure how you gain access to individual tracking numbers. The AFL app only shows the top 5 for each category listed in the stats of the game. Pickett featured on top in sprinting with 27 total sprint efforts, Essendon’s best was 19 which was 5th overall. From the ground I noticed Harmes on Heppell in the first quarter before moving in the middle. Our forwards were pushing up to our backline a lot it seemed.
  9. And he followed up and won the ball too Doc. Was tackled but pure strength enabled him to release T Mac with a handball.
  10. Angry, telling someone named Matt to shut up during the interview wasn’t in jest I felt. Loved his honesty in that interview.
  11. Tracker stats always interest me. Our two main forwards T Mac and Fritsch finished in the top 5 for total distance covered last night. Doesn’t surprise me to see them shank a couple of kicks at goal when they’re asked to run up and down the field all game.
  12. “ Does anyone know how to get to GMHBA stadium next Friday night?”
  13. In previous years we’ve allowed one loss to turn into a slump. We’ve found different ways of winning this year and that’s very important. At this stage of the season I’ll take 4 points any which way. Thankfully we were surrounded by MFC supporters. Instead of sheep I’ll have to count boos to fall asleep. Our best tonight are obvious but special mention to Gus and Hunt for working their absolute backside off defensively.
  14. Tigers were atrocious last night. Cotchin took some angry pills with cheap shots all over the field, Pickett was trying to take mark of the year in the backline knocking over his teammates in the process, Balta before his injury was trying to play dry weather football and Dusty looked like he wanted to be on a bean bag in front of the fire. The Saints were just ok, nothing special but the Richmond performance stunk of arrogance.
  15. Lol, I count about 1077 games of AFL experience in that team give or take a few sub appearances.
  16. Cool, a few ‘landers close to each other. Might just be able to identify them if they’re frantically typing on the phone during the game.
  17. According to ticketek AFL Reserve tickets have sold out.
  18. Rivers went to Casey today to give us a little something.
  19. No joke Andy. Same message appears on the Rich v Saints game when you look for tickets.
  20. AFL Reserve available from Friday 9am and Club members from Friday 10am according to Ticketek website. And due to Government regulations, Level 4 seating will not be available for this match. For those wanting to attend I hope you get tickets.
  21. A couple of reporters tried to get Goody to answer on Weid and B Brown this week during this morning’s media conference. Did not give much away, not that we should expect much much from pressers, but Goody did mention Brown is still building his game and looking better and better all the time. Is that enough to be included for Saturday night on the back of a 5-6 week mini preseason and no competitive matches for over a month? Weid might be omitted, not sure if it’s for Brown.
  22. Favourite win - Can’t split Anzac Eve and the Sydney victory. Anzac Eve, special occasion, big crowd and Jonesy’s 300th. Tigers brought the heat early and we took over quickly. The Sydney game, probably the most brutal and physical match I’ve seen us play in this year. High pressure and they challenged us all night, both sets of supporters were loud and it was a terrific atmosphere. In game highlight - T Mac’s left foot goal against the Swans after bursting out of a pack. Random highlight - Salem’s overall game against the Saints. He was simply brilliant that night.
  23. Hawthorn lost Birchall and got back a Birchall. Scrimshaw is a very good player.
  24. Lever for me also.
