  1. After the prelim some people posted pictures on social media of the members badges they picked at Optus Stadium in the hope some would recognise their family names and some even offered to send them in the mail. Thought @Wallenius Wilhelmsensuggestion of starting a thread where people at Optus picking up badges can post pics was a good one. Some might enjoy seeing their family name when they can’t actually attend. Go Dees!
  2. If anyone at the ground picks up the special badges with members surnames on them maybe stick a pic on here to give those members stuck at home a little boost. Never know, someone might see their family name.
  3. First Goal: Fritsch Norm Smith: Fritsch Most Goals: Fritsch Winning Margin: 31pts
  4. The last two weeks might have dragged but in reality this season has flown by in these difficult times for a lot of people. It’s extremely difficult not to think about the result later on tonight and there’s a touch of sadness that this is the final game of the year already. Only because if you take a few deep breaths and just appreciate how good the club has been this season and the joy they’ve given us the last 6 months you might realise you don’t want this feeling to end. Extremely proud of everyone involved at the MFC on their efforts to make a lifelong dream come true by bringing the Cup back home. They’ve given themselves every possible chance to achieve this dream and I believe they are very capable of handling the occasion to make this a reality. Believe!
  5. Let’s turn this into our own marathon for those having trouble sleeping tonight. Post clips of your favourite MFC plays, quarters, games from this season or previous.
  6. Stop throwing footballs at Max please. In all seriousness, what an experience for those attending today and tomorrow. Do the rest of us proud.
  7. Anyone catch Ed as guest on the Gus and Gawny podcast yesterday? Haven’t heard much from Langdon the last two years, was great to see a little of who he is. Some funny stuff in there.
  8. Judging by some of the socials GYM our main session was completed a short time ago. 7 sport about to give us some news.
  9. Hope the truckie wasn’t delivering the Sherrins.
  10. Well done Simon Goodwin.
  11. Anyone going to use what’s been posted in this thread as part of their drinking game during the telecast? Add every time they mention Caleb Daniel’s height, every time they show Gil and every time they mention the lockdown back in Vic and you’re odds on to be hammered by quarter time.
  12. Today’s training gallery has Spargo featuring in 4 of the first 5 photos and 7 out of the total 41. Reassuring the supporters as all photos show him in boots.
  13. I enjoyed Wines’ speech at least. Some class in there and thought he was genuinely happy to win it. Good on him even though some of the votes were head scratchers throughout the evening. Liked the bit where he congratulated both Grand Finalists and urged the audience to applaud.
  14. Anyone looking to kill a couple of minutes?
  15. Got a feeling Bont will get the 3 votes in our R23 win against the Cats.
  16. Go Gibbo. He’s in everything at the moment.

  18. It happened in a tackling drill and you probably see a heap of tackles like that during a training session. I wouldn’t expect them to go half-arsed in a tackling drill otherwise what’s the point. Spargo would be a huge loss both offensively and defensively. Pleasing to hear it’s nothing major.
  19. From MFC socials. Snooza factory doing their bit.
  20. Petty mentions in his interview the hit out will be tonight. If that’s the case I’d imagine fingernails will be getting a serious workout today waiting for this to conclude.
  21. My guess is the Redback could be worn for the practice match today. From memory we wore the Redback in the intra-club game after the Essendon postponement last season.
  22. A worthwhile 5 minutes.
  23. Get there on Friday WA Dees. Club has confirmed an open session for you. Session Information Friday 17 September, From 9:00am HBF Arena, Joondalup Oval
  24. I didn’t notice it live but after 16 replays, the goal ANB kicked in the first quarter was all due to Sparrow deliberately knocking the ball down to him after jumping over Esava. Kid is playing some sort of a role.
