You will find that in most games, have a look at a Judd and Murphy 'clearance' from the centre....next
-
Watts rucking is part of Watts' development, Fitzy's knee is fine, watch the speed he uses to clear away from the defender to mark for his 4th, he also made no mention of it in post game interview
-
Are you sure you both watched the game, even the Sunday footy show had Sylvia in the best, he had a very good game, some of the other so called critiques are laughable, no wonder there are not many replies posted

What is the one thing that has kept you going?

Then I am afraid it must be you Old Dee, I am jaundiced about a lot of things in modern life, thankfully footy isn't one of them, but get me started on Television and Journalism and away we go......... -

I always sit in the outer, and myself and my lovely lady vary it, depending on the crowd and who we are playing. the MCC would definitely not have me as a member, but feeling divorced from the Club?.....I go and watch training, I attend functions, I go to the AGM, I volunteer for things etc etc.......you can be as involved as you want to be..... -

I beg to differ, a jaundiced opinion is not the same as an optimistically based opinion, you stilll didn't answer my question about ordinary supporters or facilities, footy is going to the ground for 2 to 2 and half hours, watching the game and then leaving -

I would like to hear/see your defintion of an ordinary demon supporter, what facilities? My point was unless you are actually 'immersed' in the Club as most posters on here are, your opinion on anything would not carry the same weight, although of course this board is a democracy and you are allowed to post -

Oh so you are not a supporter now, assume you are not going to post any more on here either then? -

Some of the comedy gold that appears on this board now and again -
Jazza, I am afraid that is me old chap, he was a crumbing forward supposedly on Saturday with nothing to crumb, he laid 5 tackles which was 5 more than Jeremy Howe, so it is all relative......he was injury ravaged for the 2 of the 3 you mentioned, I for one will give him kudos for getting fit enough to be in the team again, it may be his last year, who knows, but to denigrate him like you have is rather unfair
-
So what did he do right yesterday to be in the best 6?......mentioned in a couple of newspaper reports as well as having a strong game.......you do know what number he was in?
-
RM, facts, spoke to him on Friday, he has been ill for a couple of weeks...nothing more
-
double wow....a name check on the Cats site....got him to sign a hat at training today for my lovely lady who is massive fan and comes from a small NSW country town as well,,,,hat now carries his signature, number and "NSW Rocks"....typical laidback country bloke when I spoke to him...looking forward to having a reall crack tomorrow....we are asking for a big bodied mature midfielder for next season, in Dean think we already have him
-
Can you just rock up tomo @ Kardinia Park?
Satyriconhome replied to Alf Stewart's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hey Dazzle notice you were reading this as well, almost fell off my chair, Alf have you been drinking early or living in a bubble...an old school suburban ground?....you may be lucky and get a very overpriced standing ticket on the web -
I went to training this morning and asked Nathan what was going on......in his typical fashion, said "keeping it quiet''.........I told him he was being "expletive stupid" and deserved every accolade, thanked me, pulled his hood over his head and zipped off
-
Why, thought posters on this site did not like downhill skiers....if Malthouse can't get him to play, who do you think could?
-
I was actually being funny, perhaps 'no comprende'....I am not going to be surprised, I wasn't surprised at the end of last season, just maybe with one decision, I assume there will be delistings/retirements/trades, there has to be at least 4 Depends on your definition of good, I was told at the start of the season by a Carlton supporter that Carlton was full of good/great/excellent players....for some reason he has changed his mind lately........good is relative As for Dunn, I think the post listing his roles over the years highlights his versatility, and why he gets picked, they are trying to do the same with Nicholson, the game has changed, I love to see all 22 players being able to play every position, except of course maybe ruck, but because they are taking the battering out of that, so Natanui can continue to look good, even that role is changing...I am expecting more Clubs to look for basketball players to play ruck
-
Now hopefully that's a joke You're not joking are you
-
GNF, I am surprised you haven't been howled down already, nice post, agree, will wait to see other reactions though
-
I think Fitzy is best 22, but then again my 22 would differ from a lot of others including yours and I know you don't like that happening.
-
Because these are Melbourne supporters, we can't have anything good, imagine the hair shirts that would go to waste, and what would they do with their hands if they weren't wringing them?
-
I hope Watts is not forced out, what I meant was either as a forward or as a spare back if and when required, of the players you mentioned, the only one without the agility (and not trying to denigrate him) is Dawes so personally I think there is room in the forward line for all of them, think Howe will rotate through the midfield and so will Clark if and when he is fully fit (the new Roughead role) Richo was different, although I could see Fitzy playing the same way
-
The concern I have is there isn't really a 'quality' mid available cheaply, would think it would involve draft picks to try and prise an 'unavailable' one away from a Club, personally I don't want us to take one that isn't/hasn't been playing regularly in the AFL for the past couple of seasons, as for trading Fitzy, he is versatlle and doesn't play like a 200cm guy with his speed and agility, he is rarer than a midfielder, and I don't want Watts on a wing, that's a waste. swinging between defence and forward yes
-
Not knowing who the coach is going to be sort of stifles a lot of whatifs for next season, personally I would like to see Fitzpatrick do what Richo did for parts of his career, playing on a wing and rotating through the forward line, that is of course if he continues the way he has been the last couple of weeks
-
I actually did this when I read the first post, so thanks
