  1. Col Syliva was never gonna leave unless the Club wants him to, get over it, he loves the Club, Neeld was playing him and playing him in the midfield, he had no issues with him, this crap is really wearing thin, just be glad if he does stay
  2. What do you think Terlich does? No,we do not need defenders, hopefully there is a quality experienced midfielder that we can prise away from another Club, and one that is getting regular games now
  3. Thanks, Jack Fitzpatrick along with Garlo's improvement and the emergence of Terlich, are the good news stories of an otherwise poor season, it baffles me why some posters on here can't actually just move on. I have hoped Fitzy could make it after meeting him just after he was drafted, for all he has been through health wise and to still battle his way into an AFL team, shows he has more ticker in one finger than some of the 'heroes' on here (who hide behind keyboards and nicknames) have in their whole being.
  4. Oh so you mean they bring players into junior squads without checking them out, or trialling them, right, thought that was the case..... ...facts?.......let's just keep twisting everything till the rumour fits, so many budding modern journalists on this site
  5. I have actually spoke to Jack quite often, and the coaches, Jack kept getting up to speed, then either illness or injury knocked him around, they knew the talent was there, he just needed a clear run, we he has now had for last 8 or 9 weeksJust another point on how closely I have been following Jack, on the morning of a rather infamous game against Geelong a couple of years ago, the Casey Development Team was playing at Vic Park, I live quite near as Jack was on his way back from another setback, I got along and watched He should dominate at that level, which he did, he played forward and ruck, I think he kicked about 6 that day, as well as rucking.......I walked away hoping some time he could get a clear run at things
  6. Just a point, if Fitzpatrick was coached by Neeld at Western Jets, coupled with his Chronic Fatigue, don't you think we would have asked Neeld for an opinion on Fitzy, still picking him is again I suppose an indictment on our appalling recruitment
  7. Mark/Big Russian, it is not what I have heard/been told, so unless you can be more specific, I will continue to push the line that it is again an unsubstantiated rumour
  8. Sorry Mark, so you know this how?.....at the selection table/match committee.....that is normal
  9. Another rumour Old Dee, plain and simple, Jack has had major health and fitness issues, once he was up and running ie solid games at Casey, Neeld picked him, even at the end of last season, so it is exactly what it is, revisionism again
  10. What?...Davis has been one of Casey's most consistent players this season, hence why he was named emergency a couple of times, you are joking aren't you. They have also played him up front alongside Hogan for the last couple of games as well, hasn't missed a beat again, got effusive praise from Satterly, asked at training they are really pleased with him. Also Neil Craig mentioned him Watched him heaps of times at Casey, if we had 22 of him, putting in the effort he does playing for Casey, in the Melbourne team, we wouldn't have a problem edited for tautology
  11. He is six or seven games in, now he has his eye in for the marking, under AFL pressure, he really wants to hold his place, expect to see the same effort against the Cats
  12. Gee,,.....you mean the players.....I thought you meant some posters on here......we have world champions past, present and in the making...... Clisby did what he thought was ok, unfortunately in the weekly "what are we going to penalise heavily this week" box the umpires brought to the game, was the intentional behind
  13. I thought this topic was about Jack Fitzpatrick, not yet another one about players who can't get games for other clubs but we should be interested
  14. It's a joke, I've always preferred Amy Adams think, she is a better kick
  15. Nobody has rose coloured glasses on, where did you get that from, the only difference on Sunday was we played for the full 4 quarters, every supporter knows where we are at with the rest But you take small victories where you can get them Terlich - looking forward to seeing him rotate through the midfield Fitzpatrick - belonging A functioning forward line that kicked 13 on a team that was averaging 10 against Try watching the game, and you will see on this occasion he is not
  16. Because he plays his role to the best of his ability, listen to what Craig is saying, players will 'play' themselves out of the team now
  17. What you need to do is ask Neil Craig why he keeps picking Dunn
  18. ...never forgiven Natalie for missing that gimme from 20 metres in the prelim final..
  19. He is working on it, knows it is a problem, think his 'lean; height excentuates it.
  20. I was going to say the same thing, as you know I am supposedly the staunchest defender of all things MFC, I walked away from the G with exactly the same thoughts as Neil Cragi in his presser, yes it was a 4 qtr effort, but we are still way off, but Joeboy's analysis was one of his worst, just so negative, paricularly Nicholson, he is learning to play a new role, yes he still butchers it now and again, but he wasn't that bad....Trengove similarly
  21. Nothing, as you know I speak to the players, Fitzy has had an 'interesting' run with illness and injury, he knew what he had to work on, got his chance (under Neeld) and has taken it with both hands, spoke to him on Saturday at training, got the same line, now feels he belongs, feeling comfortable at AFL level, not just coming in to keep a place warm, asked him to kick another couple, so was pleased yesterday......to put my conversation into context, I first spoke to Fitzy at a function a few weeks after he was drafted and have spoken to him quite a few times over the journey
  22. I actually thought it was it quite good, hence I haven't replied, if the poster makes sense, I don't usually rail against it, it is usually the 'orcs' that I do
  23. Moi, what a bit of fact frighten you off, suggest you read what i have been posting in the interim If you want to debate, I will, but you have to back up what you are saying
  24. It is not acknowledging the truth, most posters on this board, myself included, would not know what the whole truth is concerning how the Club reached the point they reached a couple of weeks ago, we all have opinions or the rebuttal of, a lot of which are based on half truths, rumour, innuendo, chinese whispers etc etc........driven by so called journalists, trying to create a story out of nothing........have you seen this week's question, 3 times Nathan Jones has been asked whether he wants to be captain...trying to make a story As far as the recruiting goes, having five different coaches (if you include the caretakers)in the period you mentioned, doesn't exactly bring stability as to what the on field 22 never mind the playing list should look like, wouldn't you think All this was started because a guy recruited by the Dark Side played one of his best games for the Club, not necessarily a great game but for 3 qtrs he helped neutralise one of the in form midfielders in the comp, some posters because of the past seem reluctant to acknowledge that, or his improvement, which is a concern to some of us
  25. I am not defending the Club, I just don't stand on a pedestal looking back with hindsight and saying 'oh look, I told you so"........I keep repeating, I am always baffled by some MFC supporters who just can't let go of the past and have to keep raking it up Of course the Club made mistakes, don't you?, or are you perfect, but that is the past, gone, finished. I refuse point blank to keep beating myself up over the past, what is the point? One point, you don't just somehow attain AA status, that's being over cute wouldn't you think, they are picked by knowledgeable footy people based on performance, so you may be revisioning now. What would you like to see, Schwab, Prendergast, McLardy made to do a lap of the MCG in hair shirts, some supporters really do need to get over themselves..this is footy..I would like to see Lehman Bros executives publicly flogged, but it ain't gonna happen
