...on the same topic... SCHOOL REPORT CARD: Johny Couldabeen Dear Parent, This year Johny has shown great progess, he laughs a lot more at his own jokes, he is good at kicking people when they are down, I realise now I am dealing with someone who is perfect and never made a mistake in their life, his opinion is the only opinion worth having, history seems to be his favourite subject, although expressing with hindsight runs it a close second Career suggestions: A poster on Demonland

On Clark ... after the 3km run on Friday, Jack Grimes said (paraphrase) "Mitch is on a bit of modified block at the moment" ... so obviously they are making sure he doesn't overdo. -

"Oh so you're admitting you're constant standing up for bad players is just your form of trolling."......it's not trolling, the posters I aim at make it a community service -

That is the point I am trying to make, do we want 2 or 3 pages of hand wringing over what might or might not be, if it said he was carried away in an ambulance...then I would panic......he walked away, so probably jarred it....as I said watching training so often...slight problem and you are off.....he'd be [censored] off because he wants to do the full preseason....doesn't want Roos having any excuse not to play him -

AAAAhhh....feel better now....quick break from busy work day....rattle couple of cages.......if you want to post about a topic why not post something that is relevant like discussing why the do a 3k run as most midfielders average between 10 and 12k a game, is there relevance in the modern game?...... rather than just bagging certain players.....sorry forgot can't manage two way discussion -

Do you really think it would be that serious if he walked off by himself, the next bit should be he was looked at by the medicos, they have a full range of them at training, so Matt was that the next bit? -

We also put up with you posting on here as well, so in comparison it's not too bad Roh Bail's efficiency is over 60%, so I would say not the worst we have ever had what's yours? 3km is not an endurance run, Trengove was probably in the top 10 alongside Watts, Howe -

Because the "track" is flat and well maintained, so no slipping, sliding, tripping etc -
Target acquired, conversion in progress...

with a topic heading of "Target acquired".....I started to get flashbacks I had to post with the No Tatts comment, what can't get into the Members with them, they are welcome at Etihad -

Hunt has an extra things that Harmes doesn't...speed and agility.......would suggest that is why it was that way around, Harmes from what i have seen/heard/read is a big bodied inside grunt merchant, Hunt has more agility, leap and speed.........Harmes probably needs more development -
Jeremy Howe - Kids with this much talent aren't just jack in the box forwards, will show his wares in the midfield. Interesting fact Number 309 and a half.............At the moment he averages less possessions a game than Roh Bail I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed by a lot of the choices Roos makes for his 22, if you think Jimmy Toumpas is going to play 22 games then think again, Roos is a great believer in a gradual build up with 'younger' players, I reckon he will play between 15 and 20
-
Here is a pop quiz for all the footy cognoscenti What is Bail's kicking efficiency and average disposals on the wing/high half forward (the two roles he has played)

Dawes is looking really strong but lean and ripped at the same time. He was moving pretty well and I reckon he'll be ready for Round 1. Thank you, been trying to tell some of the naysayers on here the same thing, your first look confirms what I have been seeing and being told -

My quote won't work, but I see the Master running off at the mouth again without checking facts, Roos has worked solidly since the day after he signed, it was agreed he could take a break after Xmas, one of the first things he did was to fly to WA to speak to Jesse Hogan's family etc....so he deserves it -
It is just another piece of rubbish perpetuated on here, Pedo has been at the Club during a period which ranks, by general consensus, as one of the worst, I am willing to give him a pre season under Roos, if he doesn't get games then I don't think he will be at the Club next year, for me he is a good solid backup forward or defender.

When you realise the internet is just a pile of garbage floating on a sea of plastic bags and rotting faeces you cease to worry about whether every idea is in the right spot on the cyber sh!tpile. ...you mean Internet forums, Facebook and Twitter are not my whole life......gasp...well there goes my 2014.......sigh.........

I don't know why you are bothering Sue....it is only Huey Duey and Luey of the "I have watched footy since before it was called footy, and my opinion is the only opinion that is correct" Club.......there is a minority on here that label a player and it becomes a 'fact' bit like Nicho can't kick, Bail can only run etc.......if they have actually played by the way not one of them has ever squibbed a contest, made Leigh Mathews look soft when they play/played......haha

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BERNIE VINCE
Satyriconhome replied to Ted Lasso's topic in Melbourne Demons
I do, unless the Club can build and sustain success in the next five years, we will continually lose our top players, the way the game is going the playing 'window' is getting smaller and smaller so players need to ensure that they get the 'success' and the dollars that come with it as soon as they can. Going back to Jesse Hogan, I have had quite a few chats with him, he actually genuinely likes Melbourne the city, and is looking forward to getting on the field in the AFL and giving a little back to the Club and supporters, but he wants to prove himself before any talk of extended contracts, returns home are even considered -

That is just silly saying it has nothing to do with preseasons, according to you then as long as the players have the desire, there is no need to do a pre season. I don't know which bit you don't get, every MFC supporter was frustrated with Col Sylvia, but it is tempered with the fact that the poor bastard couldn't ever get a clear run at it, and that was part of the frustration, if you had attended pre season training last year on a regular basis, you would have seen Col lacking in desire, on every extra lap he did around the oval, and he was another one who knew exactly what supporters thought of him, the best thing he did for everybody was leave, personally I have no ill will towards him I hope he has a good year, injury permitting of course -

I quoted this one coz there were quite a few epistles from you, you don't like facts getting in the way do you........one difference between Jones and Syliva, Jones completed the last 4 preseasons from day 1 without injury/illness etc -
Sorry , it is a line up, Dunn. Grimes and Cross will rotate through the midfield, Dunn for his size at stoppages or as a run with player at stages, same as the forward line, we may have Clark, Dawes and Hogan and then the other three will rotate, my picks for those, Howe, Fitzpatrick and Bail

To paraphrase a politician, after Nathan Jones and Col Garland, a drovers dog could have polled well in last year's B&F, I think Strauss is the better footballer than Terlich as well, just hasn't had an injury free run at it, you have seen all of Strauss' 24 games to form your opinion I take it Terlich is a very good player as well, but personally I don't think either will be in the starting 18, may crack a spot on the bench, my back six is Frawley, McDonald, Grimes, Garland, Dunn and Cross
