Correct , add in Howe, because of these points the money we are paying, is in some respects, irrelevant. We got what we were most lacking

Huge , the flow on benefits to the Howe,s Jurrahs etc will be massive.The most important missing piece to our structure has been filled. Now we really can hope for improvement

Again people on here needing to decide between midfield & forward line. The fact is we need to beef up & improve both. I also think the question should be will a mature Fitzpatrick become as good as Dawes and can Martin develope into a key forward

People are looking at this topic so one dimensionally, its not just a matter of having someone big to kick to. We have excellent MEDIUM sized forwards Jurrah, Petterd, Dunn, Sylvia, Howe, etc. but none of them have developed as much as we would have hoped. Why? Because too often they are asked to fill in to a position that they are not suited to (the go to man ).How much better would they be with a bigger guy to take the pressure off and play from the flank or pocket which they are much better suited to. Question: we have cooke & fitzpatrick coming through but who can guatantee how good they will become?

Of course he's not required because we have so many big bodied forwards

So just stick with our plethora of medium sized forwards and develope the midfield until they can hit team mates on the chest with each forward entry. Worked well for the Bulldogs - Until they reached the pointy end of the finals

Yes probably but one point I will make is the ball wasn't being delivered lace out by Geelongs"A" grade midfield, most of the time it was just bombed long to the top of the goal square & their big guys were strong enough to do the rest. The reality is we need to get bigger & better both midfield & forward
