  1. Very mischevious Clint
  2. The worrying thing is this side is just going through the motions playing out the year. They have fallen far far off the pace. Despite some good cameos from younger players its a long way back to where we were. P.S. Brock is not the messiah we all hoped he would be
  3. Was leaning towards Brock like most others but don't know if he is showing enough recently, may still be a bit young
  4. The problem is that mentally our players are as soft as melting butter, a problem that has been prevalent for many years now. Too many of them have become too comfortable with the coach and should refrain from commenting on his remaining tenure. 2 goals to 12 against at half time against the bottom side, absolutely the biggest disgrace for years
  5. Only have ourselves to blame with these sort of results occurring far too often over past years. Sometimes it appears the names Melbourne & Geelong are interchangeable losing games expected to win
  6. Even when we're flying when do we ever win by 8 - 10 goals?
  7. Absolutely agree might not be the most popular player here but had to be in the best 6
  8. Those that said PJ wouldn't make it as a ruckman may have been a bit premature given his age and games played
  9. Good win against top opposition. Confidence and fewer injuries go a long way
  10. we've had injuries, players are now coming back. kangaroos are a very average team. questions now need to be asked. our ability to disappoint is infinite.
  11. This culture of flaky mediocraty has existed in MFC for years. For those who can remember 1990 Beat Essendon twice during the year Beat the gun side of the late eighties Hawthorn twice in 2 weeks ( last home & away & 1st final) when no one gave us a chance. Had to play the Eagles in the next final who we had beaten comfortably in Perth, just a few weeks before. Had the home state advantage VFL park. Went in solid favourites you guessed it went down like a sack of spuds. We were as good as anyone that year & should have at least played off instead of Essendon. Seethed for weeks waiting for a Melbourne official/coach/president to condemn what a wasted opportunity this had been. Not a murmur from the MFC. We accept too easily this mediocrity. Nothing has changed
  12. Pickett was one of the main reasons we went as far as we did last year. It was no coincidence when he did his hamstring was when we started to struggle. Has let us down this year though by presenting so unfit
  13. What we need more than anything is players who when things start to go against us get in and change the course of the game. Netz tries but is stuck at one end of the ground. Remember BYRON'S game against kangaroos last year. We were going downhill fast and all of a sudden he was everywhere. we have plenty of players with 100 games plus experience now GREEN BRUCE JOHNSTONE ETC. they need to get stuck in and do it or this year will just be the same as the last few.
  14. To me our biggest problem is on field leadership. Who steps up when things start to go pear shaped? Last year it was Mclean and Pickett. Neither will be playing on monday. Need more from Bruce, Green, Johnstone etc. we don't get it often enough to see the improvement we all crave
  15. Prediction Yze will only play well if we have a good win, close game or loss will be ineffective
  16. agree with fan davey's done nowhere near enough to be in top 50
  17. good post miller likes to lead and neitz could play the bang and crash style needed for chf, however i feel they have left this move too late
  18. has anyone ever noted that miller is a little undersized for chf
  19. I AGREE SOME OF YOU BLOKES VERY FORGIVING RE YZE NEED TO GET HARDER
