lol, I guess you made an exception for me. I like T.Mac, but I can also fully understand the criticisms of his kicking. It's possible to do both, tedious or not.
-
I quoted the post from Wiseblood, as it sums up my opinion of T Mac perfectly. His zoning, flight judgement and interception are among the best in the league for a tall defender, and amongst the best I have ever seen from a tall Dees defender. I'm a big fan. He is the centrepiece of our defence, by quite some margin. His kicking however, can be absolutely horrendous. Not all the time, but often enough to have an impact on his legacy. Apologies for any offence.

And you are whiny and juvenile. People are free to criticise, obvious or not. It's only a problem when they are plainly wrong, which in this case, they are not.
-
.....should have just quoted this......

Mate, he can still have a great game AND butcher some of his kicks. You are coming across as quite a know it all. If he could kick properly, he would be an all Australian starter every year.

Only saw the final qtr. Is it worth watching the replay, at least for the 3rd? They all seemed flat as a tack in the last. No emotion at all.

Season 2017 Totals/Averages GM K HB D M G B T HO FF FA AF * SC * Average 5 12.2 4.6 16.8 5.6 0 0.2 1.4 0 0.8 1.0 66.2 56.0 He has been decidedly average for a bloke picked up as a mature age, early round 2 pick. I would be interested to see how he would fare if our injury list was zero. Wait. *think* His realistic competition for a half back spot is Pat McKenna / Josh Wagner / Mitch White. Forget what I said, I humbly withdraw from the debate.

Melksham wont be dropped this week because he is best mates with the coach. And before anyone asks, yes I really do believe it is clouding Goodwins judgement.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised

Reckon we might see him develop in a similar fashion to big Max. Seemed very "meh", until one day he just started pulling in everything, and hasn't looked back. Might be at least another full season or so, at a guess. -
Looks like an ISIS lineup. yuck.
-
And their first round pick belongs to the saints. Sainters will be joyous with every Hawks loss. Suck it Hawks.

I feel really sorry for O'Meara and Mitchell, who would have already cleared a spot on the mantle piece to put their cheap premiership spoils. Nah, not really.

Just chew us up and spit us out again!

Ding has it right. If we cant beat Freo at the MCG, or [censored] after having 8000 chances to put them away, we are [censored]. Finals are a dream, and nothing more. Still steaming about Harmes and his open shot for goal. unforgivable for a pro footballer. -

[censored], clicked "like" before realising who u were. -
You know how bad the recent past has been, when you start getting excited about parking spaces and spare seats on game day.

They didn't? Did they? Another win for the imbeciles. Misuse a word for long enough, and it becomes a "real" word. Or a made up saying like "dont give a rat's tossbag" ffs, it was always a nutsack. -
TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 4
faultydet replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's going to be nice having some size and strength in the back line. Happy with Frost's inclusion. Unhappy with zero size/strength in the forward line. -
Shame Vandenberg isnt available. Mostly our talls with the exception of Hogan, only succeed in bringing the ball to ground from long bombs for our smalls anyway. They dont stick marks yet (Watts never has). Ball to ground has been enough for us in the first 2 rounds, because our mediums/smalls have made hay. My worry is the "medium" inside 50 entry, as they are the ones in todays congested space that can be easily cut off by taller opponents. Petracca is our best hope of winning one on 1 contested marking in this type of entry, or Garlett if he is completely isolated close to goal, and can take some sort of run at it, as his judgement and body positioning is very good. Otherwise, our forwards are gather and shoot types, who are not pack markers, and as such, I cant see our style of play changing too much against the Cats, provided Watts and Weids can at least halve the contest at the long bomb. If we win this one, it will be a coming of age.

this sort of argument pisses me off. Did he use an open hand to squeeze his opponents balls? Did he use an open palm to strike his opponent in the back of the head, in a surprise attack. No, he open palmed the side of his face. nothing more, nothing less, so the "smash my palm into the nose of my opponent, shattering it all in the thought that I will get off due to not having a closed fist?" is a complete waste of time, in addition to being completely over the top hyperbole. Think prior to posting.

I'm not so sure about that. Take a very very close look at Oliver every single time he is near the ball. He already does things that are so fast, the commentators dont have time to mention his possession before it has found its way to a team mate who had no right to receive the ball. For all the hype about 'Trac, I honestly think some of our supporters haven't quite realised the AFL top 10 talent we have on our hands with Oliver. -
Both of his goals. Rioli........

THE DROUGHT IS OVER by George on the Outer - POST MATCH DISCUSSION
faultydet replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
My Mrs is an import. Only been here for 12 months. Was at work, and sent her a text at quarter time telling her to not waste her time with this hopeless team. She told me to shut my head and support my team. Had no service for the next 2 qtr while busy, and returned to 8 texts and 5 shouting, incoherent voicemail messages, laced with stuff that sounded like "puk yeah, go dees!", and the like. Thank you Dees, a great day, and my lovely wife is living the dream. -
I was aware of that when I typed it. Didn't think anyone would waste their time bringing it up

Read my post above. I was a Watts fan last season.
-
I'm not sure what you see as wrong on my posts. I thought Watts was much improved last year, but he hasn't been doing what the coach wants early this season. If he plays, the coaches think he has done enough, and I will be satisfied with that. Trengove himself made a statement that he has given up on regaining explosiveness. That's enough for me to believe he will never make it back to best 22. Can't run, means can't defend. That's supposed to be a non negotiable now I thought. People talk about Trenners as if he is playing his first season back from injury. He had a full season last year and showed bugger all. Good luck to him, but I can only see him being de listed at end of season. Hope like hell I'm wrong, as I was a huge fan early on.
