Any player has zero excuse for weak efforts, regardless of time out from the game. Watts was beyond insipid today, save his nice effort on the boundary in the last few minutes. He re visited his worst games of his career today. Only a [censored] would think otherwise.

Right now it doesn't really matter SWYL We made a packet, and backed up the following week. Kind of makes it obvious that we kept losing after Darwin games because we had a sub par team. Still think it as brilliant list management to hold back players who may have been ready, in order to freshen us up after a Darwin trip. Our football dept is so underrated.

What's you point deiter?

Ah, keyboard warrior defence. It's usually spaghetti armed dweebs who throw around claims like that. Thought you were better than that.
-
Thats the way I viewed him also. No clangers, but when he had the ball, he was quite good.
-
Take a breath mate. Todd Viney is a Demon Legend, and if you have been around as long as you claim, you would surely know that. Jack is advancing quickly into demon legends club, but when he makes it, his dad will be the one who opens the door.

But our effort all year hasn't changed, regardless of playing personnel available. I thought Port may make it tight, but I had faith that the boys would not lower their effort levels. It's really nice to finally have that confidence. But if I may indulge myself, I'm not sure I have ever seen a more insipid milestone game than the one from Jack Watts today. 1 arm marks, 1 arm tackles. Simply pathetic, and I hope he is embarrassed by his effort.

Watts, 1 arm tackle again christ

Jack Watts of old 1 hand up in a marking contest, and zero physical pressure. [censored] poor What an embarrassing milestone game.

Finals football. Lets see how we cope.

Trenners has been ok. No glaring errors, and good positioning. Hasn't been exposed for pace yet either. Very happy for him. And Hibberd has been recruit of the year. What a player.
-
That's great news Crompton. After today, we will be a ladder leader. Look forward to seeing us get whats due.
-
But a full 360, before dropping the ball, and its still play on? I'm about to send my wife outside so I can break something. Neal Bullen is improving weekly. Very impressed with his vision. Been happy for Trenners thus far. Watts is invisible. Still no second efforts from Hogan, although a couple of his goals were very nice work. Welcome back Max Gawn Tyson fantastic first game back Neville Jetta is bloody brilliant. Love him.

Chook, I have been out of my chair at LEAST 6 times, at blatant frees to us that have not been given. They have been [censored] disgusting today.

Am I the only one who wants to pull these dog umpires through the TV screen?

All is forgiven if his sons turn out as good, and he pushes them our way.

Throw the missus over the couch. Get punched in the face Try again.

I'm happy for him Mud Hoping he has a great game. My thoughts about his future haven't changed.

Hi Tilly, long time no see. Rocky was a classic case of could've, should've Every club makes mistakes. Jurrah was almost an inspired choice. So near, but so far. Our list now has the ability to bring us a flag. Lets see if they have the commitment.
-
Earl, you are approaching this from the angle that the AFL is harder and tougher than every other league. Its not. Fitter, more skillful, more structured etc. Yes, of course it is. Light years ahead, as any pro league should be. But EVERY country comp has its share of tough as nails blokes, who, with better skill and fitness, would make the transition from country, to city footy. Jurrah was as skilled as any player I have ever seen. But he avoided physical contact too often. I watched him as a huge fan, and even then was embarrassed by the things I witnessed. He actually moved AWAY from contest after contest, and waited for the ball to fall his way. It was bloody awful to see.
-
He was cowardly. Incredibly talented, but gutless when a physical contest was required. Tell me what it says about me. pm if you choose.
-
I watched him live only twice, and was absolutely disgusted at the way he avoided body contact. It was cowardly. He was literally removing himself from the contest, to avoid getting tackled/making a tackle. Hogan is different, but infuriating nonetheless, in that he is not scared of any contact. In fact he looks for contact when under a high ball. Its a strength of his. He is just incredibly effing lazy when the ball hits the ground, and the opposition has it. Hogan has the ability to change if his head is in the right place. I never saw that in Jurrah, as much as I tried.
-
As much as I gnashed my teeth whenever Jurrah avoided physical contact, I would never have been able to describe him as "meh" He was a freakish talent. A level below Jakovich/Schwarz/Farmer, but a simply brilliant player. We took a punt, and unearthed a player of stunning ability, who was from another world (hope that comes across the way its intended) A world that didn't allow him to have a long career, mores the pity. I'm thankful we tried. As for Jetta, I think it's a shame that he will probably only be seen for the player he was, after he has retired. Whelan is a player who comes to mind, when looking at Nev.
