Stopped watching very early 2nd qtr, when it was apparent we were no better than last week. Ok, we know the talent is there, so what happened? Was it effort? Was it game plan? Was it literally "one of those nights"?

This is a timely reminder to our infant supporters who just expected strong performances, after finals last year. Get in your lane kids..... This is more like the Dees we know.

16.5 on a wet night. This is "one of those games" where you can't do a thing wrong if you tried. We inspire that sort of form in our opponents, such is our limited ability at present. We won't be this bad all year.

I'd like to join in on the complaining, but I haven't been watching sings 5mins into the 2nd, when we look flat as pancakes again. What's worse is that @ding arrives on Monday, and I need to put up with his ranting when we lose again next week. Bloody depressing.

Agree 100% How on earth does a team supposedly overflowing with tough, hard at it types, allow their main weapon to be knocked around for an entire game, with not a single retaliatory action in his defence? Maybe our so-called team of young bulls are still weaners?

Our blokes didnt give a whimper. Nothing at all wrong with what Cornes said. You won't win a pressure final by betting knocked around by an 18yr old kid. I look at the results of other high finishers from last year, and hope our pitiful performance was something to do with where we are in our training program, due to aiming at being at our peak for finals.

We made Jack Watts look like a really good footballer, and hard at the ball. Not a good thing for the team resume.

Of course we should win. Jones/Viney/melksham in will certainly help. Our defensive game during pre-season was quite ordinary at times. Need to lift significantly in the real stuff.

I have never, in all of my 40+ years following the Dees, given a single [censored] about who is missing from an oppo side when we beat them. As a matter of fact, I probably could not quote a SINGLE time when a key opposition player has been missing when we beat a side. I don't gaf. I just want to win. And if the other sides best players are missing? So f*$king what.

The most surprising, and pleasing thing for me was the effort of Keilty. Is that the standard of play that he puts together at Casey regularly? He did some bloody impressive things.

AH, good old Shepp. Miserable, dreary 5 Celsius in winter, and blistering hot 44c in Summer. Still wish I was going to the game. For anyone worried about the ground condition, it is (usually) very well prepared for these types of games.

Fritta is also much tougher than his frame would indicate. Similar to Hunt, as a thinner player who shirks nothing. Lovely skills and great defensive work ethic makes this bloke a deserved first 22 player.

Thought that Spargo was in no way a lock for the senior team, and even (looks at feet), tipped him to be replaced during the season by a rookie. Stupid call. Looking at replays over the off season, and this kid has it. Senior head on young shoulders.

Hoping for all 4 sides to be filled with Collingwood, West Coast, and Richmond players. Only fair, as they are the "big" clubs At least with so many of our best players having interrupted pre seasons, we have ready made excuses to not send them to this joke event.

Tried Keto for several weeks (probably only the first 3 weeks were strict) [censored] me off. After the first few days, had an intermittent headache every damn day, for weeks on end, and CRAVED a biscuit or similar. But never felt "starving hungry", and dropped 7.5kg in the first 3 weeks, after only starting at 88kg Have since put on 2.5kg of what I lost, but boy oh boy have I eaten some schit.

I was thinking something very similar. Would be interesting to see what our "second 22" would be now, and how many of those names would have made the firsts back then.
