Any recruiter who DIDNT look far and wide as a matter of course, would lose his job in a nanosecond. From what I have seen of Taylor and his group, they are very good at their jobs. Kudos to the scouts, who rarely get any attention.

He needn't have been worried. I reckon Mahoney planned his entire trade meet around bringing in big May, and as such, it was always a massive chance of happening. When you have a bloke who is willing to upset the nuffies, and take "unders" for a supposed star, and then pay "overs" for his target, he usually gets what he wants. I am confident everyone on 'Land will be beside themselves once they realise just how good this animal is....

Remember that the gun player you wish for Taylor to pick up, needs to actually be available at that pick. Granted, he has been amazing with his choices thus far, but we still rely on other recruiters missing the mark.

@Demonland Agree with this. Terrific player, but with obvious deficiencies that don't gel with our defensive manic pressure plan. We actually didn't seem to miss him much when he was out, and if Weideman continues with the late burst of improvement, we will be a better side with him gone.
