  2. Great post. Marcus Seecamp was a player who I would love in our side now. Solidly built half-back who would run through a bus crash to defend a team mate. Hard as woodpeckerlips. A 195cm player who measured 185cm in height.
  3. Dead set one of my all time favorite Dees. Gave us fantastic value at C.H.B after crossing from Adelaide. Great judgement of the ball in the air, gutsy as hell, good 1 on 1 but had the prerequisite ordinary kicking foot on him.
  4. Does anyone else remember the dog Daniher destroying Clarks knee after a tackle? Could not believe my eyes, and was sure Daniher would be suspended for it, but of course, no, nothing happened.
  5. "Lally" Bamblett from memory. Could play too.
  6. That's the cookies from your porn site visits doing their thing.
  7. Anyone who complains about this is a mug.
  8. It is coming like it or not so sit down and let people talk about it without your usual whining.
  9. How on earth would Dusty fail to get a gig?
  10. I remember my Dad smacking me over the ear after I sat on his pie during the finals loss to the Eagles at Waverley Park.
  11. Just what I needed to lift my spirits. A story about the pain Essendon suffered after being caught cheating with Performance enhancing drugs.
  12. I wouldn't hold my breath. They will be in the same position as the AFL in trying to make up for lost time. I'm thinking more along the lines of watch what the AFL does to the smaller clubs re: fixturing/travel etc in order to maximise the games income by favouring the large clubs even more than they do now. The AFL want games in the N.T and this is a perfect excuse to bring them back. Lets wait and see.
  13. Imagine what the draw will look like for the next 5 years with the AFL trying to use the fixture to claw back the lost cash. Are we taking bets on more N.T games? This is going to be a long term disaster for the poorer clubs. Starting to think a boutique stadium (redevelopment of Optus etc) might be part of the mix to lower costs of game day operation while maintaining T.V revenue.
  14. I don't We should have been just as switched on as the Eagles. Only reasonable excuse would be if the Hotel rumour was proven as true, as that would be a physical limitation imposed on the team. Does anyone have any info on that yet?
  15. I so hope that is wrong, as it would be a terrible indictment of the playing group. The Eagles played in the same game and appeared switched on. It would signal that our entire 2020 campaign was a waste of time if we couldn't get up for a single game but the opposition could.
  16. Players were being fully paid until games were suspended. Their salary is not just paid during the paying time, so the hit they are taking is nowhere the 50% they would like you to think it is.
  17. Take your pick of any 3 for the current team and why. Farmer - Freakish scoring power and marking ability. Davey - Invented the manic defensive pressure for small forwards, and loved a goal. Jurrah - Shocking defensively and terrified of physical contact, but an absolute offensive weapon who would benefit from our current bomb it long inside 50s Hard done by. Matty Whelen - yesteryears Nev Jetta. Fantastic small defender who was great 1 on 1 and tough as nails.
  18. Jesse was playing average football in the last months before he left. He needed a huge turnaround if he was going to be the saviour. Poor bastard.
  19. Reckon we would have beaten GWS this week. Actually no way of proving otherwise, so I reckon we would have smashed them. Did anyone else see the TV flogs talking about an 8 round comp? Now THAT would test your emotions about a Grand Final spot.
  20. Any of our players putting their mitts out for 50% while no games are played had better come back in ripping nick.
  21. is this the SWYL parody account?
  22. *why can't we have both Gif*
  23. Hmmmm. Poster with 12 posts announces inside info about a player wanting to come back to Dees. Some people don't handle isolation as well as others.
  24. Alan Johnson to Steven Stretch Be still my beating heart....... And Sean Wight. Hard as nails with a leap like Shaun Smith and could play at Full Back or Full Forward just like Steven Silvagni. The one good thing about getting old is that you can carry wonderful memories with you. These guys sure gave me that.
  25. Hopefully our younger supporters can get a glimpse of the utter brilliance of Allen Jakovich, David Schwarz, Jeff Farmer, Garry Lyon and the bone breaking David Neitz at his best. Bloody hell those blokes played some exciting football.
