  1. I've got absolutely no problem with ex MFC people having a slap. Fact is we remain a fugging joke after 9 long years. We are a hopeless, soft, joke of a football club, with players who cannot manage to get themselves up to do what they are paid grandly for, and that is to play good footy for our club. Swing away guys. We deserve every negative thing that is said about us.
  2. "I want to be a turnip"
  3. Slobbo is a disgusting excuse for a member of the human race. Just wont stop pushing the drug cheats agenda, and trying to muddy the waters with nothing stories. Christ I would give anything to be standing next to him when the final, beyond appeal, "guilty" verdict is handed down. I will buy some shares in Carlton United Breweries in anticipation. Then I can retire to the Riviera, and laugh at the AFL coverage on Australia Plus TV until I pass...
  4. But Lam, out of contract or not, unless Brisbane finished last, which they didnt, they would need to trade for him anyway. I would have thought nobody would overlook Beams with pick 1, and im confident that we would have taken hi with 2 or 3, had he been available. Brisbane would have struggled to land him with pick 5.
  5. Watch the bummers faithful, and compliant media try to use this to somehow make themselves look innocent. "The illegal drugs were sent to the Dees, and we got the thymomodulin. See, we are INNOCENT!!!,"
  6. Doesnt change any facts, and who doesnt understand them? Captaincy didnt make him as slow as treacle, just as it didnt make Grimes freeze under pressure. Jack had an injury, then an operation or two, and now he needs to regain lost speed, or say goodbye to his career. Why are people getting so whiny over this? Thanks for the moron comment. I like simple humor.
  7. I think you read to re-read, and understand what I was referring to. I was talking about what the guys, and supporters did for Jack. I thought it was team building. Your smartarz follow up, was aimed in the wrong direction. I will re state for clarity. I thought the team and supporters were good, with their "welcome back" I think Jack has taken one very very small step on the road to a recovery that I am hopeful that he can make. I think unless he can regain his long lost speed, he will be a liability on field, just as he was prior to his break from playing. I hope that clears up any misunderstanding on your part.
  8. I have no problem with my judgement. I stand by what I said. I thought it was nice to see, and great, team building stuff. I hope Jack makes it back to full health, and we see him playing great footy. You cant have too much class on the field.
  9. Can someone translate this to English please?
  10. Agree 100% Lam That line of thought needs to be applied to trades also. Ability under pressure is a non-negotiable in modern footy. Just ask the dorks.
  11. Im not sure he has the natural defensive instinct for a lockdown defensive role. Panics far too easily under pressure, and it would be intensified deep in defence. I think his only hope, is to gain a massive aerobic tank, and play the loose wingman/linkman role. I just dont think he has the game brain to be a very good player in any other role. Hope im wrong.
  12. Really? I just thought they finally found the correct position for him. I always thought his skills were quite sound, he just couldnt find enough of the ball as a forward. Was always a closet fan of Jetta. Loved his toughness, and fast, "play on" style. People like Grimes have never possessed that.
  13. I agree with Picket Fence on this. Wines - massive miss Toumpas - massive fail OK, none of us are full time recruiters, but Jimmy appears to me to have the same, "freeze like rabbit in a spotlight", as one ex co-captain. Deplorable disposal under even the smallest pressure. We have all seen people improve their disposal (N.Jones), and their physicality (Watts), but can anyone name a player who has improved out of sight, his awareness, game sense, and disposal under pressure? I cant think of anyone off the top of my head.
  14. Def Myers. Why the hell would ANYONE be interested in a player about to get a 2 year vacation? And even without the drugs ban, averages about as many possies per game, as he does games per year. 10? Actually, any essedun player in the '34 should be off limits. The cheating scum have been off loading them the last 2 years, and probably pizzing themselves laughing at converting potentially banned players, into draft picks, or ready mades. Mind boggles.
  15. I will say whatever the hell I want. I dont need anyones permission, and I dont seek your approval. Its nice to see him back running. Its will be nicer to see him running fast.
  16. Come on, really? We beat Colonwood. Yes, happy. Duh Doesnt change my view about Trengove. His last 20 or 30 games pre ops, were downright ordinary, and at times embarrassing. I hope the op has fixed the injury, and he can find leg speed. Lots of it, because he was slower than Brock McLean. I dont think too many on here would disagree with that. Just because he is running, doesnt mean he is "back". Just means we are a step closer to seeing if his foot will hold up. Nothing to get too excited about, I wouldnt think.
  17. Have to be completely honest. I will only consider it a positive when he is back out on the park, getting a kick. Until then, I will be waiting and expecting the worst.
  18. Fine to be running and all, but unless he can recapture most of his lost speed, he wont remain on the list for long I wouldnt think. Good luck Trenners, and well done Maxy and Jack. Great team building stuff.
  19. There's a Bernie in that picture?
  20. He probably thought they would win a fairytale premiership this year. i'll bet thats what he told them anyway. i think its awesome. Stay as long as you can legend. Nobody else could do the long term damage to the list that you can.
  21. For those of you only old enough to remember Jurrah, this guy was even better. Forget anyone playing today (if freakish things are your style). In his very brief time at the top, pre back injury, he was a rolled gold superstar
  22. Stopped reading at Stan Grant. Epic Whiner......
  23. Cant see how anyone would not agree with this. H is ex pies, and therefore he would get bood all game. Duh.......
  24. Party boy culture? Easy trap to fall into in Sth East Qld. Happy drugs, and little spotlight.
  25. Did he say it was a Koori dance? Just looked like one of those crazy NRL celebrations to me. If that was a tribal war dance, the other tribe would lose the fight from being too busy pizzing themselves laughing. Nothing beats the Haka.
