I agree its a risk to go probably back into debt again to find a top coach and god help us if that doesn't work, but at the same time can we afford not to... as continuing like this will have us back in debt in no time anyway.

Its only my 2c worth but it just seems to me that other clubs like a Collingwood or Essendon even Carlton don't stay down for too long, one or two years and they're back playing finals again. Why? Well there's lots of reasons probably, but one reason i think is their supporters simply just will not tolerate failure. Even when these clubs make finals and don't succeed, their supporters seem to immediately scream blood. We on the other hand seem to just roll along and accept what were told and don't, en mass, like to criticize players, coaches, boards or whatever. I'm not saying there's no criticism, there is, but it almost seems to come more from the media rather than the club. Having no longer a financial burden around the clubs neck is the biggest achievement so far and bodes well for the future.....Now and in the next few years, the changes can actually be made.

Yeah well Ive had a few drinks too, so I will reply to your first thread and good on you for en-lighting us! Yep I agree with a lot of it, except for a few bad bounces bit...I think we did have a red hot go, for a lot of the night and took it up to them and had we a decent game plan with a few chops and changes then.....but hey half the team out ....so we never expected a crushing win....a la pearl harbor style.....and yup Carton are kidding themselves and Im probably, (probably)... glad we didnt get Judd for that reason alone.. that he can actually lead a team of crap and make em look good....I want our problems addressed!..as im sure do we all....and yeah chipper is... a rare player ..that can go a nine foot marauding forward 1 week, or a three foot midget the next... (i wish we still had Buckley).....and yup the best part is Carton..sorry ..Visy board cheats sorry chris the new job after footy... Carton do actually think they are onto something....and thats great!!

Agree ...season is over, people wearing horns, pres trying to sing with Olivia, commentators talking about other teams half way through the third quarter, the third quarter, a million injuries, byes, sling tackles, a substitute player, Kevin Bartlett, Carlton, Watts in the backline, the backward press, Jurrah passing to Rivers, Jamar, Grimes, Green Captain, James Hird a successful coach after 9 rounds, or was that 9 mins, Collingwood playing matches for 20 mins and winning by 40 points, Geelong undefeated, players being umpires, West Coast being an improving team......yup... its time to play the kids and look to the future.
