I think when the time comes one thing we really want to see is a good match day coach. In those critical few games leading up to a GF, a coach that can make on field changes out of the box at critical moments in a game will be crucial to our success. Neeld has already shown he is not afraid to make moves, many of which were previously considered unthinkable. Hes had a great mentor in this department in his former role as assistant coach. As he and the side develop Im very hopeful this will become a formidable part of our strategy.

Do you think we will get a definitive diagnosis on the injury given that as you say, there still seems to be some speculation as to the extent of the damage, or is it one of those types that cannot be fully diagnosed and is just dependent on how it responds to treatment?

As a kid I used to be in the Cheer Squad. We took it in turns to make the Banner at home. I remember making some in the lounge room and my brother and I would proudly get on the red rattler Sandringham train and take it to the G. The train would wait as we attempted to get it through the doors, which were pretty small and then take up several seats and isle space on the train as we jealously guarded our prize banner, much to the dismay of the opposition supporters. Then we would carry it to the ground often with cheers from other D supporters.........those were the days. Oh yeah, and It took several of us to hang on to it as the team as one would crash full pelt through it.

I went for 7, but our inability to beat any Victorian clubs bar Richmond and Essendon in the last five years is of major concern. Im hoping for upsets over North and St.Kilda to bury this hoodoo.....anything at Etihad would be a bonus.
