I generally tend to agree with McCartney's assessment; especially on 2018 form. In 2019 Spargo had a loss of form and seemed to start second-guessing himself and he became tentative (amateur psycho-analysis at 150 metres). I think the depths that last night's performance plumbed to can be summed up by the fact that this morning, when I thought about the game, I genuinely felt sorry for the commentators who had to call it; fully appreciating that they were paid to do so.
