  1. Saints currency in picks, as things currently stand, is 17, 64, 77, 93 Pick 17 should get it done, quick and clean.
  2. When Essendon's a central cog it gums up the works.
  3. Yep, and re Daniher they could have got pick nine in the 2019 AFL draft along with the Swans first-round pick this year. Instead they got pick 7. Dildodoroed themselves.
  4. Yes, would give them some cover. Adelaide's Pick 56 would be nice and after-all it is their 8th pick in the draft. Think @Rolling Stone's on the money of it's Collingwood.
  5. For interest's sake, the current pick currency at Adelaide and Collingwood stands at: Adelaide: 1, 9, 22, 23, 33, 40, 50, 56, 66, 80 Collingwood: 16, 39, 42, 75, 92 Whereas we have: 26, 43, 68, 69, 89 I wonder what the FD can wrangle out of the above?
  6. Good point you raise there @deanox
  7. Regardless of whatever side of the political spectrum you may personally lean to, both 70-year old candidates should be congratulated on maintaining an election for several days.

Harmes going into the midfield against Brisbane was instrumental to our late comeback in that game.
  9. Contracted through to the end of 2022 according to @Lucifer's Hero's latest update. Agree that he's an important part of out spine moving forward. However with B.Brown, Weideman and Jackson as our KPF stocks I think Petty slots in as a KPB.
  10. Well played @chook fowler, not many footy forums can boast the linguistic magnificence of Demonland.
  11. This is no joke, I was in a meeting with a Labour powerbroker a few years back. He apologised as he had to take a call from the State Premier. The upshot of the call was that that funds were being allocated not to healthcare (as the powerbroker wanted) but instead to Kardinia Park redevelopment. The powerbroker challenged the Premier "How the F is that going to help the health of people in Geelong?", Premier's response "Mate, there's no votes in health".The powerbroker's response to that comment is unprintable.

    You'll learn patience with age.
  13. ☝️+1
  14. You lived through the 60's and remembered them; how dare you!
  15. From our perspective may need the trade assets (picks) for other prioritised targets and/or it could be a salary cap issue (either now or the implications for next year when several key contracts come up for renewal). For Hawthorn it's a neat fit, I.Smith out and T.Phillips in.
  16. Was against trading in McKernan as a "break glass in case of emergency" option because I don't see him as being a significantly material upgrade on making do with Tomlinson or Weideman. Whilst not wildly excited by Phillips, I do see him as a more suitable short-term insurance option for the genuine ruck position.
  17. Yes @MadAsHell, had the same thoughts.
  18. On face value it looks disappointing. However, will reserve judgement until the trade period is completed.
  19. Okay as long as he comes cheap in terms of pick / DFA / Rookie list, and contract value. Buys us some time to develop Bradtke and determine his long-term prospects.
  20. Know how you feel @Little Goffy, it's been a dog of a year. This may help your calculations: https://www.pedigree.com/dog-care/dog-age-calculator
  21. A triple win for them, Ugle-Hagan, Hannan, and the Insurance payout.
  22. That would mean we'd actually achieved the kind of 'bistro-math' / 'multiple mid-tier players packaged and converted into a top 10 pick' that many Demonland posters have often dreamed of.
  23. The 'grunt' type of midfielder that Essendon has needed for a couple of years now.
  24. There was that, and some other personal issues at the time that meant a change of state, both physical and mental, was a good idea too. Thanks for the update @Unleash Hell, keen to see what happens.
