  1. I tend to agree with you. HBF doesn't seem to suit his instincts; tonight he was below-average. Could be dropped, however I'd like to see him played as a tag next week on Sidebottom - I think we need to assume the midfield battle will be halved against the Pies so we need to curb Sidebottom's creativity.
  2. It's very hard to pick up on TV (as opposed to being at the game) but I suspect his pace is making it much harder for the opposition backs to organise themselves against us.
  3. Jackson was impressive, Spargo very neat and creative, not so much to write home about re T.Mac.
  4. Good to see a bit of 'killer instinct' in that last quarter.
  5. With straight kicking and straight umpires this would've been a 10 goal win.
  6. Petracca gets legged, Gold ducks, then a tiggy. This is bent umpiring.
  7. Meanwhile, back on the Game Day topic. Keen to see how the group responds to the challenge of not having the dominant ruck.
  8. Apparently not! Rumours abound that they're doubling-down; Allens are coming aboard as sponsors - promoting their freckles and snakes ranges.
  9. Hibbered if I can make sense of it.
  10. I generally tend to agree with McCartney's assessment; especially on 2018 form. In 2019 Spargo had a loss of form and seemed to start second-guessing himself and he became tentative (amateur psycho-analysis at 150 metres). Hopefully he's regained form and confidence and can put on a good showing today.
  11. Great restraint shown by Max. Appalled that the umpires weren't on this this and/or didn't react. If this keeps going then maybe we need to select an enforcer in the side. To take an analogy from Rugby Union, even the normally calm and considered John Eales once said to a referee mid-test (re continuous opposition dirty play) "Either YOU fix this or WE will".
  12. ? Go 'the Growl' ? Well done @Kumamoto_Ken and a big shout out to the real "Woo-Hoo man". Gotta love a woo-hoo-man with a plan!
  13. I'm Woo-Who man and so's my wife!
  14. 6. May 5. Oliver (one of the better 5 votes games that you will see). 4. Viney 3. Petracca 2. Jackson 1. Lever
  15. Sacked in a calm and measured way?
  16. I think the depths that last night's performance plumbed to can be summed up by the fact that this morning, when I thought about the game, I genuinely felt sorry for the commentators who had to call it; fully appreciating that they were paid to do so.
  17. Clarkson and Hodge as an assistant?
  18. ET's mail, as ALWAYS, is right on the money!
  19. Not putting players in positions that don't suit them in the first place would be my definition of a great job.
  20. Interesting aspect you raise @binman. Less need for midfield rotations could be what's leaving Gus out in the cold.
  21. 6. Viney 5. Oliver 4. May 3. Petracca 2. Salem 1. Gawn
