I am not convinced on that. People who take out three-game memberships may face the tyranny of distance making more than three games or they may be merely new members which is what we want. If we play the way we all expect this year, they won’t be content just watching three matches and will come on board fully next year. Total Membership numbers are no less critical as classes of membership. Great for the players seeing 70,000 Demon scarf wearing fans packing the stands and supporting them in their Final Series!

The footprint of the proposal neither extends into Yarra Park nor eliminates the playgrounds. Further, it is of a lower height than the Pullman Hotel and residential and commercial buildings on the opposite side of Wellington Parade. Nor does it “tower over” the street as, being on the South side, it casts no shadow and is lower than a fully-grown plane tree!
