  1. I thought Howes showed some ok signs last year but he's been diabolically bad over the last two games.
  2. Chandler, Henderson and Oliver have all been good. Xerri is dominating Gawn at the moment.
  3. Great mark Fritta. Also possibly the best quarter I've ever seen Chandler play. That Spargo kick 😘. Curtis is a worry. We haven't got a great match up for him.
  4. Some slight movement on the overall games tally for the Demons this weekend with TMac overtaking Todd Viney's 233 games with his 234th. Max Gawn also draws level with a former skipper Garry Lyon on 226 games.
  5. I think that's the most likely outcome. We missed Spargo last year with his pinpoint passes. I think he'll surprise a few this year.
  6. Loved that chase on Himmelberg in the third quarter. Definitely affected the kick. Solid debut.
  7. I remember we moved May forward late in a game against the Swans (I think) back around 2020. I'm surprised we haven't pulled the trigger more often because he didn't look out of place.
  8. That bit of play at 1:42 against Callan Ward was sensational.
  9. Disappointed but understandable. Will Turner be good to go? Or do we considering bringing in a more recognised ruck option like Campbell?
  10. 6. Gawn 5. Petracca 4. Salem 3. Bowey 2. Petty 1. Lindsay
  11. Jeffo's first goal please! Windsor's goal to open the third quarter was also a cracker!
  12. Argh, that one stings. GWS' transition game opened us up a few too many times and was definitely the key factor in their win. I love watching Toby Greene play, but damn do I hate when he plays against us. As far as the debutants go, I really wasn't expecting that sort of game from XL, especially considering he only had half a pre season. Jeffo took his chances and both of the Werribee lads had some decent moments. I'd expect that all of them hold their spots going into round 2. Here's hoping that Langford gets a full game next week Awesome to see Petracca back doing what he does in the midfield. He looks set for a big season. I thought our defensive trio of Petty, Lever and TMac stood up really well for most of the game. Bowey also played his best game in at least two years. Roo and Fritsch were well held (although Fritsch did a good job negating Taylor for most of the game)
  13. AJ NEARLY joins the club
  14. Lindsay looks like a good one.
  15. Early days, but the debutants don't look out of place. Liking Jeffo's second efforts.
  16. Jefferson Starship with the first!!!
  17. How is Ross Lyon still a coaching gig? His gameplan has been outdated for a decade.
  18. Langford sub is a huge surprise as these conditions would suit him. Really thought Hendersen would've been given the green vest.
  19. Thilthorpe looks ready to explode. Would love him at Melbourne
  20. Great start for Nibbler and the Crows. St Kilda look horrid. Incredibly vanilla football side.
  21. Big game for Kade Chandler after a couple of down practice matches. These conditions will favour smalls, and with Pickett out, he takes on the responsibility of being our no.1 small forward today.
  22. The forecast seemingly has the rain finishing around 2:00. Hopefully conditions dry up quickly.
  23. I've been trying to push the nickname 'Starship' for the last two years to no avail.
