Lever looks closer than 12-16 weeks. Just saw him running at full tilt and snapping at goal. He's also competing comfortably one on one with Tim Smith. The club is probably just being very conservative in his progress considering its his second ACL.

Yep, that's definitely him. Welcome to the club Jay!

Can anyone tell me who's wearing the #43? Definitely not Guy Walker. Whoever it is, I can't say he'll get a game soon. Just accidently nailed one of the trainers in the hip with a lace out drop punt. That'll leave a bruise. EDIT: Now that I think of it, there's every chance it could be Lockhart.

I like the look of Jordan. Just saw him training with the likes of Jones, Petracca and Oliver at the moment in some one on one contested ball drills and can hold his own. Lovely kick as well. EDIT: And of course as I say that, Clarry nails him in a dynamite tackle. Holding the ball!

Haven't seen him yet. Also, May now running laps. Doesn't seem too hindered by anything. Can only presume the club is making sure he's 100% for Round 2 against Geelong.

Keilty and Hunt training with the forwards with the latter just nailing a flat drop punt at goal from 50m. Sounded good off the boot!

PREGAME: JLT 02 vs Brisbane
Pruess in the VFL? I thought the coaching staff would've preferred to see another sample of the 'Prawn' ruck combo before round 1. Excited to see May in the red and blue though!

Sydney Game at the SCG
Yep, 2010. Incredible day at the G back when we could dispatch any non-Vic side at the G by 10 plus goals before copping a loss of a simliar magnitude ourselves the next week. Closest we've come since then was a draw in 2011. We're way overdue.

Nietschke out for the season
Terrible news. Absolutely devastated for Aaron. After all the excitment of being drafted and training with the boys with the possibility of some JLT appearances, I'm sure its a tough blow for the kid. Fingers crossed on his recovery.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Ha(r)mes' Hangers?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Hogan officially a Docker along with pick 65. We get picks 6 and 23 in return.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
It's been strangely quiet today considering deadline is just over 48 hours away. God only knows how they've been able to fill the time on trade radio.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Well that was a waste of time. Thanks Freo. Hope you enjoy bottom four next year.

Thanks Cameron Pedersen
Thanks for everything Cam! Your stint as an undersized ruckman in 2017 in the absence of Max Gawn rightfully deserves its place in Demon folklore.

Welcome to Demonland: Max Gawn
I remember that game. Big pressure relieving win for Dean Bailey after allegations of the team playing 'bruise free footy' (not entitely inaccurate). Maxy (who played a solid game) took a cracking grab on Fletcher and fittingly missed from 10 metres out directly in front.

Angus Brayshaw
If you think about it, this is Gus' first clear run of football since his first season in 2015. The poor kid has had some shocking luck over the last two seasons. Hopefully we give him every chance to cement his position in the team. He certainly wasn't our worst on Sunday.

Jack Petruccelle
We're in real need of another new Jack following the great 'Jack purge' between 2015 and 2017. Grimes, Fitzpatrick, Trengove and now Watts We desperately lack depth in this area.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Definitely overs but I'm thrilled to have Jake at the club! I'm backing that Josh Mahoney still has a few tricks up his sleeve over the remainder of the trade period that will see us advance back up this/next year's draft order.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I dunno. Strikes me as 54 sort of guy.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Just a thought if the Crows don't budge on two first round picks. Would we be able to snare Sydney's first round pick as part of the potential Watts deal? As a basis, Watts + Pick 27 to Sydney for their first round pick (pick 13). Picks 10 + 13 to Adelaide for Lever.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
If I can recall, Chook has a fair few runs on the board. This will be interesting.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Would be a likely top 5 placer in the B&F if it wasn't for his average first 6-7 weeks. He's been absolutely brilliant since around Queens Birthday. Fun fact: Jake has kicked at least one goal in each of his last eleven games. That ranks him at seven in the entire league for the most consecutive games kicking a goal. What makes this extraordinary is that he is the only player on that list that isn't a key forward. https://afltables.com/afl/stats/alltime/misc_goals.html#10 Pick 25 almost seems like a bargain now.
